Mine does something similar when it's cold out and the engine is cold. It very gently rocks kind of like you describe, like someone's tapping the gas. But it's subtle
He definitely blew the stop sign. But then you wayyy overcorrected kind of in slow motion somehow. I'm not saying you're in the wrong or anything, but it seems like the curb could have easily been avoided.
Sorry this happened to ya
To everyone knee jerk replying "unenforceable" - you don't know that. Every state's laws are different. OP's friend would have to talk to a local attorney to determine if it's enforceable or not
Credit where it's due to Bak's customer service - they're sending me another replacement cover. Hopefully third time's the charm and this one doesn't leak!
I took a couple pitchers of water and investigated this afternoon. Water is definitely leaking through the highlighted seam in the photo below on almost all the panels. It then drips through the locking mechanisms mounted to the underside. Real bummer - I'd have figured there was some sort of...
Thanks, guess I'll be reaching out to Bak. Again. They were good about sending the replacement the first time at least under warranty. Hate it has issues too. I didn't think I was being too nitpicky, but thanks for letting me know yours doesn't leak
Do you have any leak issues with yours? I'm on my second (first was replaced under warranty). Both leak like sieves. And I don't mean through the corners or anywhere where the cover meets the truck - instead water actually seems to be getting into/through the aluminum panels and then leaking all...
Google maps (and all other navigation services) uses satellites for positioning too - that's what GPS is. In your situation, you definitely could have done that with a cell phone too. You just have to download "offline maps" in the Google maps app before setting off. That's basically what in-car...
I had to take the wife's car to run to AutoZone to buy a pair of filter pliers when I changed my own oil the first time. Factory filter was incredibly overtightened
Any updates on this? I noticed the other day that my hybrids coolant level was right at the minimum line (cold engine, at 8500 miles). Which is technically fine, but I'll definitely be keeping an eye on it.
To respond to the too hot, too cold, slippery complaints:
Too cold - that's what seat warmers are for, and they work great in the Maverick.
Slippery - ActiveX seems to have a bit of grip. I've had my truck almost a year, have driven in all types of pants, and have never had any issues with...
Truck, car, or the maverick. I always thought personifying and naming inanimate objects was a little odd - not my thing. I like mine a lot, but it's just a mass produced vehicle.
The ActiveX is surprisingly nice. It's soft and comfy and looks great - like real leather. We'll see how it holds up over time, but so far it's way better than the cloth seats in my old car.
