I recently bought a 2025 Maverick with a broken windshield. It was chipped during transit, and when they attempted a repair, the top of the glass cracked. I was told a replacement would be ordered and would be installed (free of charge, of course) as soon as it arrived. However, they warned it...
Man, I'm absolutely trying this. Thank you for doing all the work! If I understand correctly, the actuator only requires those two wires?
And any tips on fishing the cables all the way down to the gate?
[Edit] I can find the actuator, but I'm having a surprisingly hard time finding the crimp pins.
My 2025 Hybrid Maverick replaced a 2023 Ecoboost Maverick, but I was previously driving both a Kia Forte and a rusty, beat-up Ford Ranger.
I wanted the best of both worlds; good gas mileage with the convenience of a small pick-up. The Maverick was, and still is, the perfect pick!
Those are some great ideas!
I’ve been thinking about replacing my traditional box-style dashcam with a Wolfbox mirror. I was on the fence because of the wires sticking out from the top, but it never occurred to me that I could just 3D print a cover. I found a model on Printables already!

Found my answer, so I'm leaving this up should anyone be wondering.
A press of the button will bring up Alexa, but holding the button for a second will bring up the Google Assistant.
When I press the steering wheel's "voice interaction button" while using Android Auto, Alexa comes up rather than my Google assistant, which is really annoying. Is this configurable? Do I simply need to disable Alexa somewhere?
Something I learned the hard way after tearing off one of the clips is that they're in a channel. There's a gap/opening where they slide in and can be pulled out from. If you push the panel up from the bottom with a good amount of force while pulling forward they just slide out, but finding the...
I did this yesterday. Installed the Kicker 51KSC6704 in the front and KSC40 rears. I've got the HS10 subwoofer as well, but I'm looking for the best way to tap into the front speakers for it. I'm hesitant to do pull apart the dash so I may try to find the lines before the door jambs.
Installing...
How'd you mount that to the wall? It's so clean! I'm installing my own HS-10 and have been trying to find a decent solution.
Can't comment on the harness but I had tapped into the front speakers when I had it in my previous truck and that worked fine.
Ah. I was asking because I'm looking for a way to mount my Kicker HS-10 to the back wall. It weighs a little under 12 lbs and vibrates a lot so I don't think JB "welded" mounts would work too well.
Yeah, I wouldn't gamble my life for a minor annoyance. If you're going to drop some money on a fix, might as well just get a Forscan adapter and do it safely.
I tanked my new hybrid for the very first time a few days ago. After filling up, the expected range it was reporting was of 689 KM. Not bad!
I then drove to work and back, then to the store twice over the next day or two. The expected range on what's left in the tank has now gone up to 692 KM...
