The Canadian site either didn't have the option to choose (or I just completely missed it), but I mentioned it was for a Maverick in the notes so either they selected the appropriate one for me, or the generic one works fine.

I'm an XL-driving plebeian, so my rear window is a solid piece. I did find some aftermarket kits, but they're pretty expensive for what should be a legal requirement in Canada.

Living in Quebec, I wish the rear window had a defroster and heated side mirrors.

Update: I gave up. For now. Needed the truck clean for the weekend and I won't have the time to chase electrical gremlins for a bit, so I tucked the 12 volt adapter's wiring where I could. It's not as clean, but at least it works. To be continued.

I checked the camera's continuous recordings and it apparently lost power about 3 hours after ignition was turned off. I just went to the truck and when I opened the door, I saw the camera turn off. Now it refuses to power on from my tap regardless of the engine being on or off, but it works...

It was set to 2700 by default, yes. However, wouldn't that mean it would have cut power after 45 minutes? When I had checked whether the camera was still getting power, over 90 minutes had gone by. I've changed the value to 300 seconds and checked 15 minutes later. It was still powered. Surely...

There isn't. I may be explaining it poorly. What I'm trying to say is that the mirror's shade/tone is about the same as a normal mirror that's in night mode.

I don't mind the touch controls except for turning the "master" on and off. That one should have a physical button, or at least a dedicated button in the UI.

Whoa, that sounds terrifying. My hybrid will sometimes start the engine and idle around 3,000 RPM occasionally when I'm stopped or parked, which I'm assuming is to warm the engine or charge the battery, but nowhere near full throttle.

Man, that really sucks. We've had that happen on a Jeep we had. Brand new glass took a rock within a week of having it changed. In answer to your question, I'm assuming they're only looking at original parts given they're a dealership and the truck is brand new, but I honestly don't know.

No disagreement here. I'd be surprised if they actually did charge me for the difference, but at this point I just want my truck back.
