I was there yesterday. They had a Cactus G and A51 in the front. Salesperson asked if I wanted to test drive, I declined. I do really like the XLT interior more than I thought I would. Changing my XL hybrid to XLT, will wait awhile for it thought.
I sat in an XLT today for the first time. Interior was much nicer in person. Seats were better than I thought they would be. Orange accents were nice actually. Congrats.
I ordered both, an AWD and a hybrid. I decided to bail on the AWD, costs more for what little extra it will do for me. I am seriously considering the CrossClimate 2 for the hybrid.
I don't recall seeing the FX4 sticker being engaged. That and better tires should work. Also, having extra capacity cooling radiator will help keep the motor cool while you sit and spin those Pirellis.
I will look at the height of the tailgate, when down, to see if I can use it as a prep table/platform. If I do a DIY, I will make something small like a wood foot locker. However, I like the idea of being able to carry it around a campsite(s) instead of being limited to where I park my truck.
Nothing like seeing it on a lot or showroom floor and taking it for a test drive. I would have preferred Ford allowed online reviews from 3rd party sources earlier. Makes me wonder what they are hiding or are they that unsure about their product.
Just ordered an XL hybrid w/360, tow hitch and sliding rea window in CG. Already have a previous order with build date. This hybrid order is just over 9,000 cheaper.
I changed my hybrid order to an AWD FX4 with 4k tow right after my previous post. Hopefully it will give me a slight 'soft road exploring & camping edge. I look forward to upcoming YouTube videos featuring the Maverick's capabilities.
