Salesperson today confirmed the hybrid orders are now closed. He also said Ford is about to close orders of the ecoboost soon. Not sure how accurate that statement was.

FYI, I ordered, back in June, a AWD, FX4 with 4k tow, 360, sunroof, XLT in Velocity blue. It is available at Bowen Scarff Ford in Kent, Washington, near Seattle. Since I had gotten a VIN for that Maverick, my wife and I decided on a hybrid instead and are passing up on the AWD.

My dad and I built one for my 1990 Ford Ranger. Looked nice and much cheaper than buying one. Only thing is if you need to haul something you need to take it off and leave it at the house. Mine was not built/designed to fold. I honestly am thinking of doing the same for my Maverick.
That is good news. I think the OEM on the hybrid are Continental tires, decently rated. I just had the Michelin Xice put on the Mazda yesterday, love those tires. I too don't want to change the tires every 6 months or so. That is why I am looking at these newer 4 season tires.
