Good grief, I had no idea the subject was so complex. After trying to educate myself through a Google search, I feel only slightly better informed than I was before. (Par for the course on the internet)
As for "Matte" vs "Flat", most sources seem to agree that the terms are nearly...
Flat paint is "completely nonreflective" or not glossy if you will, by definition. Area 51 is anything but flat.
For reference by example, I shall cite the time I used Ajax on my grandfather's Powder Blue 62 Ford Galaxie to remove some stubborn pine sap specks. The resulting appearance was...
Until it occurs to you that someone may have seen you punch in the "lock" code, assume you left the key inside, and may be waiting until you're out of sight to break in, retrieve said key, and steal your truck. That thought entered my mind the first time I locked the key in....and I've never...
18 months, 10K miles, ZERO issues. I can't think of a single thing to complain about. First time I've ever been able to say that about a new vehicle purchase. 💗
In my experience, eco mode isn't significantly beneficial in the hybrid either. I tried it for a couple of whole tanks and my results were basically the same as normal mode...though I think a lot depends on ones driving habits. Could be it would do you some good if you have a naturally heavy...
Yep, it's factory Cyber Orange. It looks closer to yellow than orange in most conditions, but seen next to a true yellow, It's obviously orange.
For some reason, the example photos on Ford's website look NOTHING like the real thing, so your confusion doesn't surprise me at all.
I've never even heard of a clay bar until I read of it in this forum. But I figured it never hurts to try something new, so I gave it a shot on the hood and did the ceramic thing after. Looked fine after the job...but not any better than the rest of the truck to my eye. It was a LOT of work, and...
Great write up. Just about exactly my experience, and I'm right with you on the mode issue...though I won't sentence anybody to burn for sport mode. I just don't use it. 😉
I've had mine for fourteen months. 8100 trouble free miles and counting. Still by far the most satisfying ride I've ever owned. Smooth, quiet and refined, without any squeaks or rattles...and the gas mileage is simply mind blowing. 44.7 MPG lifetime average according to the computer, so you can...
Yes, I've noticed that too. It's so consistent that I don't bother calculating manually anymore. I just deduct the 1-2 and call it a day.
I use normal mode, and don't really make any attempt at all to economize, and still get over forty every tank...often well over. I'm simply blown away by this...
I'd bet your take on the sales curve is just about spot on. As for whether I'd be interested in the thing personally, well that's a BIG hell no.
Aside from not being fond of the all electric concept in general, I think the Cyber Truck is the ugliest truck I've ever seen....with the old Ridgeline...
Personally I've always hated leather seats. They are hot in the summer, cold in the winter, and I slip and slide around on them too much. The Chevy Trailblazer I had with them had me constantly pushing myself up in the seat. I had to set the angle on the seat bottom to an uncomfortable angle...
Personally, I like the auto high beams a lot. They seem very consistent, and I don't think I've been flashed once in nearly a year of ownership. Maybe yours are out of adjustment? 🤔
Agreed. I've had many Fords over the years, and all were outstanding. The latest was a '99 Escort that I drove for 22 years and almost 200K miles. It was certainly nothing special to drive, but exceptionally reliable. Just routine maintenance and a fuel pump at 120K. Never let me down.
I think the attached photos document the hybrid's Winter efficiency drop pretty well. These are from my daily commute to work of just short of six miles. The first photo is from a 30 degree morning with a little frost, so the extra couple of minutes came from the scraping I had to do. The second...
