My dealer asked for a $1000 deposit, but said it wasn't required. I paid up as I was committed to the purchase, and figured it might just buy me a higher priority. I ended up being their first hybrid delivery. So who knows, there just may have been something to that.
Mine came with a chip and scuffed front bumper from transport. Pretty minor. I spotted it during walk around, and they gave me a choice of taking delivery and having them fix it later....or leaving it with them until they could get to it. Needless to say, after seven months of waiting there was...
For what it is worth, the issue has definitely improved over time for me. In fact it essentially disappeared at about 2K miles. It was never a really big deal, but I'm happy it's gone just the same. Gone for the better part of a month now, and I'm able to use normal mode without a hint of grab...
I've had a lot of cars and trucks of many makes with power windows, and the Maverick's windows seem to go up and down just as fast as any of them. Never gave them a thought until you mentioned it. However, I agree the buffeting does seem a little more pronounced than some (but by no means...
I agree completely. Just what I have been thinking. 59 here and with 16 vehicles under my belt, my hybrid Mav is the second fastest I've owned. Sick of hearing the "underpowered" nonsense from some corners. And even my 88' Mustang 5.0 was only a second and a half faster to 60. That with over 40...
Same here. My first reaction when I saw my first Maverick in person (mine), was surprise at how big it was. I've owned small cars and trucks all my life....and this one doesn't qualify as small at all in my book. Inside...or out.
Oh I don't know about that. My Maverick replaced an '81 Toyota pickup that I had been driving for more than 25 years. It had a little patchy surface rust here and there, but a "rust bucket" it most assuredly was not. Never spent any time in a garage, and even underneath it was remarkably rust...
All the colors look great to me, but since spring has sprung I've discovered an unexpected benefit of my choice of Cyber Orange. Tree pollen is a horrendous problem in my part of the country, and as it is greenish yellow in color, it barely shows up against the bright orange. Even if the truck...
Where I live, the roads are still full of those "old" little trucks. I see them all the time. No need to be an old geezer who happens to remember them.....though I suppose I would be in some circles. 😉
I think you will indeed find the mileage improves quite a bit with the advent of warmer weather. I'm getting low to mid forties now with temps in the seventies and eighties....upper thirties back in February.
I'm right with you on ride and handling, but I gotta say I have zero trouble passing...
