Ohhh interesting! I was also wondering if there was a plug or open hole in that cubby for exactly the same reason! If you end up doing a bit of an interior exploration (that sounds weird lol) please take a bunch of pics and let us know. A way to route a usb from that cubby to the lower input...
This is a shame to hear. It was apparent (We'll a good chance anyway) they went back on the original plan for a larger screen/unit with the silicon/chip shortages. Bummer to hear there are issues with the screen/unit they used. Hopefully it's not already at the max hardware brightness and...
Yeah the lowering kits are coming for sure. They have them for the new escape now so id bet right around the corner. I wonder how much will be the same. Some different spring rates etc for the heavier Mav and payload retention.
Wait... so that... that's a "Carolina Squat!?" I thought that was just a local slang for a dropped car/truck lmao! Mother of god that looks horrible AND dangerous!
Looks awesome! Painted Steelies are one of my off-road favorite looks on everything from an old FJ40 LandCruiser to a new Bronco.
As far as AT's on a Hybrid (for whoever eventually does that) i say go for it! It's your ride you modify how you want to! A mild set of AT's on a FWD Hybrid...
And here's a better look at a Lariat vs XLT headlight side by side. Swear the Lariat has silver, grill bar color matched inner surrounds vs the chrome in the XLT or XL inside the headlight.
Edit: Yup, upon further internet pic-lookin' it does indeed seem like it's not just a difference of a...
No a different grill... look at the lariat... its a different grill on all photos of them compared to the XLT and XL... i know... i JUST saw it today lol.
Edit: But yes, the Grill Bar is a different color on each. XL = black, XLT = grey, Lariat = silver.
Also - am i crazy or are the headlights (aside from the LED DRL in the lariat) different?! The Lariat internal surrounds (notice the fins on the bottom and follow that line around the light perimeter) seem to be silver painted-ish where the XL & XLT are chrome? In the first pic look to the...
Something i've only now noticed... the Lariat trim (exclusive of ACC option) has a unique grill (same as any i believe with ACC option). Here is a Lariat and XLT for comparison below. At first i thought it was a component of the FX4 package but it doesnt seem like it is... really seems the XLT...
Great info, thanks! I've done a load of full interior swaps and car restoration in the past so running a power up the a pillar to the location would be ezpz (depending on the air bag locations) in the Mav. Def something i'll have to start researching as far as cam models go etc.
Whoa, now that's some good quality! Do any of the Mavericks have power routed to the rear mirror? I'm just now realizing there is NO (that i can find) option on ANY trim to get an auto-dimming rear mirror... WTF Ford!?
Is this the total cost or just a separate installation fee. Was thinking about this as well and my order is through Chapman.
This is what I was looking at... the $400 would make sense as covering the cost of the cam and the install. https://accessories.ford.com/products/dashcam-140-dash-camera
