Oh man i wish... that
That's another good point. A cloth sport seat with some actual bolstering is missed. I dont want to slide my ass around on the vegan leather seats that have no lateral hold. (Admittedly i'm not looking for a track Maverick - just a better, basic, starting platform with...
We'll agree to disagree here. The Lobo, in both levels, is a bit of a disjointed package. It's like they couldn't decide what to do and at what price-point. Agree there on the Tremor. The Tremor wasn't successful because of that price and where it sat within the market. Why pay "this" when i...
See that right there (to me at least) is the confusing part. That's exactly what the Lobo is. Why? It's got a crisis of identity. If it's suppose to be a sporty, back to the "sport truck" edition, it should be a base-to-mid level trim with performance and appearance additions. They went -...
Oh i agree! I come from a background of building and restoring 60's Mustangs, Datsun Z cars, 90's Hondas and Toyotas - HP is not "required" to make something "sporty". Esp if that auto is lightweight. In this instance, in a platform like Maverick (which isn't a weight weenie) a HP/TQ bump...
Ok now i'm a bit confused - I didn't see there were two Lobo variants.
True on the fenders. Though even some over-fender flares with a bit more aggressive wheel/tire package would have gone a long way.
This is the confusing just toss everything at it and we can get a high MSRP edition. If it was sort/performance there should be more HP/TQ esp considering we just got a reduction (some are saying it's on-paper only but?). The addition of all the towing accessories and tech is just a "What...
Ah that's a big disappointment for me. I was hoping (esp for the MSRP) to have more HP/TQ and an actual drop. Vectoring is great as is the trans tweak and cooling upgrades; however, all the towing bits and options pushing the pice up are a big nope for me. Give me an XL with the suspension...
With a giant 13" screen, wireless CarPlay and AndroidAuto I'd just sit my phone in the charging cubby below - no point to using my phone when all functions can be controlled by the infotainment. If you have to use some other work/share-ride stuff on a phone at the same time i could potentially...
I honestly can't remember if any sub $40k car/truck had factory fogs that did f'all. At this price-point only aftermarkets will aid in inclement driving.
Id love to see what the new "flap" looks like painted a grill-matching satin black. But to your point, I also hope there are some cool aftermarket options to change the look.
Well a locking rear is a good thing - that's welcomed! With the Ecoboost power drop if the Lobo doesn't have a bump it would be really strange. I now see there are different springs, dampers and ofc the lower (wonder how much) ride-height. All id really want to see is more power (fingers...
Thanks for the info! Knowing nothing about the Tremor, what does this dual-clutch differential offer in terms of street performance? Better power transfer and limited slip at the rear only?
**Also - bummer no Eruption Green on the Lobo.
Came back here onto the forum for info on the Lobo/ST. Are we supposed to get a reveal or more info on it soon? Was really hoping for a true performance model though it seems we're only getting a styling package with (if i'm reading the guide correctly) a completely different, dual-clutch...
This dainty lil beaut says, "Hi there!" Last thing i need is another thing sticking out behind my wheel. Less is more - i just need that area clean and free for oppo-lock action
Kidding aside - I can see how some dont like it. I love the thing.
I honestly cant believe modern non-manual vehicles still come with "sticks" of any kind... be it column or console mounted. There is no need anymore. Push-button, "Porsche/Audi group chicken nugget nubs", rotary dials etc. all save space and really modernize the cabin IMO.
