This is looking great!
I need me some more daytime pics from all angles! I'm still waiting for my lariat but will also be doing H&R springs and some type of wheels... still undecided there with the wonky-ass bolt pattern lol.
Chrome off/amber light on or clear off LED/ amber light on turn signals allow for no orange/amber reflection in the turn signal housing for a much cleaner look. When they are activated they flash amber as per usual.
Great info, thanks! I'll be looking to do a mild drop (looks like it will be ~3" or so judging on that black XL that was just dropped on here) and trying to flush fit some 20x9/8.5s. really didn't want to use a set of spacers again but it looks like i might have to. The rears really are...
Yup, that's a big reason why i went AWD with mine for the independent multi-link in the rear! Will be more options for mods and better performance and grip.
Yeah he is AWD as well. Wheels will end up determining my tire size as there aren't too many "nice" (imo) options for this pattern and...
I don't think you're missing anything and I don't believe lowering a vehicle like the Mav is cultural at all. Lowering a Mav isn't in the same (weird) realm as say lowering a Land Cruiser, Jeep or Defender etc. In my mind (and per the specs really lol) the Mav is nothing more than a sedan or...
I'm struggling with what wheels i'm going to run. The bolt pattern is not favorable for options. I'm also not sure about clearance as I've only just recently ordered. I'll have to message Mr.Boom 5.0 on here sometime and see what his dims are for different inner out outer clearance etc. His...
Good effort but and It sounds like it's just a "in the meantime" mess-around... front is on point but yeah (as they said) that rear was a whoops! lol
Can not wait for kits to start rolling out. Mine will be dropped and on 20's. Just suits this vehicle so much!
Yeah fingers crossed, we'll see! I know there have been a few "quick" turnarounds but i'm going to TRY and play it chill and not track progress obsessively. See how long that lasts for! lol
I for one am glad people like David are here and part of the forum! They're not on here hawking some snake oil. They're allowing us a peek into the development of parts and to follow along with a build etc. Chill and respect.
Never going to go off-road but went AWD for the independent multi-link rear suspension + better grip for backroad shenanigans (in bad weather too ofc) and resale value down the line.
To add a quick read on catch cans and blow by with good visuals check out... https://www.mishimoto.com/engineering/2016/01/blow-by-101-what-is-blow-by
That helped me visualize it all. If any of that doesn't jive please let me know and i'll delete.
