not sure what it's measuring exactly, but that's gotta be a scary list for american automakers. two american on the list and one is the maverick, otherwise tons of toyotas and kias.
No offense but for about 36k I could spec out a base, 4 dr, 4wd Ranger. I'd do that.
The Maverick I get would be XL only adding the 2.0 and AWD, and would MSRP at 24,700. 10k less than that Ranger. Hence why I've looked at the Maverick.
i've always driven old, poor and base trucks (manual, single cab etc). pretty sure ANYTHING new will feel like lap of luxury to me.
Like WOW, this thing has CUPHOLDERS? lol.
i have a truck with fog lights for 8 yrs and i have absolutely no idea what they do. or why i should care.
i'n guessing theyre to turn on in fog? because that will, i dont know, provide some more light i cant notice?
just weird the things people get hung up on. like how every phone review...
Yeah it's 2.3 turbo. Ford's typical way of meeting the more stringent EPA regs. Sadly ICE is on it's way out altogether probably and these are some last gasp to squeeze blood from a turnip in mileage terms.
Well you dont have an ticking time bomb of a battery to worry about (which WILL go bad in enough time, not miles, time is the enemy of batteries, and there's no way it's going to last 20 yrs). It's warrantied for 8 yrs but only to replace with same wear (IE 70% capacity failed battery battery...
Another crazy person killing the environment with all that discarded oil usage (slight sarcasm). It's just superstition at this point. I believe new Rangers ford recommends changing every 10k miles at first and then every 20k miles. Stop and process that. And that's the manufacturer, so the...
I mean from what I can tell Ford, all american auto manufacturers, and possibly all auto manufacturers period suffer quality control issues. But particularly American ones.
In the Ranger forum a lot of people had misaligned body panels and such. On 40k trucks.
On top of that this truck is...
I think it's in the vid or another from the same channell, he has similar issues with a Ford Ranger Tremor, which in theory is a "true" off road vehicle. The course is just really tough with such soft sand.
The only one he seemed happy with was the channel 4-runner, which is probably well more...
yup. it's not made for off roading, but can do a little in a pinch.
we had the cold snap of the century recently in East Tx where I live, and everybody was basically completely housebound due to frozen roads for 3-4 days, unless you had a 4WD, probably decent tires and some experience too...
If anything modern cars will do it more and more. They're under a two way pinch from regulations, on the one hand ever more extremes CAFE mileage standards, on the other ever more stringent crash test requirements.
It's definitely part of the reason cars are so expensive nowadays. A metal that...
is there a way to test what my current truck does 0-60 to compare? Mash the gas and hit the stopwatch on my phone? would such crudeness work?
Honestly it's old (2013), I'm kinda scared to push it crazy hard?
not gonna lie the ranger looks so much better. but also 2x the price.
The Tremor package is noice. I think this was a unflattering choice of comp to the Mav. A Mav with a better color, FX4 etc would have come off better.
