Yep and all for overly stringent EPA MPG regs. I keep drumming why dont people vote out the pols for stuff like this. Instead it's totally ignored as to why it exists and gets worse and worse.
That said I wonder if it'd be worth just taking to a oil change place for those 15 bolts, let them...
I get 4100 and that's figuring $3.00 per MPG for gas. Currently it's more like 2.70-2.80 where I live in Texas, and who knows what the future holds.
That's definitely not worth it to me. It's a pittance really. Considering I drive ~12k miles per year, that's ~$400 per year. Almost any lifestyle...
Well youre in luck! Because every car review focuses far more on whether it has push button start than any other aspect of the vehicle in my experience.
I would assume the Ranger would too? I believe I have like 4 feet to spare with my 08 Canyon. I wouldn't imagine you get into any chance of garage fit trouble until you're looking at least at a Crew f-150, if then, but I could always be wrong.
Interesting that the Ranger scores high. I was reading the Ranger was one of only 3 trucks they officially recommend too? I think the F-150 and Ridgeline were the other two. Albeit they were quite lukewarm, it was only a technical recommendation because it scored over 60.
Not sure how much...
So I was driving by the Ford dealer EARLY this morning, spotted a couple Mav's in the lot! Havent been paying attention they've probably been there for a bit. So I yeeted (sorry, been around nephews and nieces too much) over and snapped a admittedly crummy pic in the AM darkness. It'll have to...
Yeah, the chart shows the 2.0 is faster from 0-30, 0-40, 0-50, 0-60, 0-70, 0-80, and 0-90. Lol.
Kinda skeptical of that 45-65 test but it's basically a tie.
Most of that is due to environmental regulations. It's easier to go to the next size up with a more forgiving fuel mileage target. So you end up with more and more gigantic trucks. Good old government common sense! Thats why for example the mav can only exist as a base hybrid and 4 doors. It was...
I love that. Hope that's what the American version looks like. Looks maybe even a little better than the current Ranger which I think looks great, as well as I also love the Chevy Colorado looks.
Hate to be "that guy" but part of me wonders if that Carvana Ranger wont still be roaming the roads long after your hypothetical new Maverick with it's tin can build quality (granted as I always stress, much of it due to 2021 environmental regulations rather than Ford's fault) is gone :LOL...
Off the top of my head I believe it's like +~1k for the 2.0, and then +~2k for the AWD. Total of the 3.3k for both, since you cant get AWD without the 2.0. Just the 2.0 is extremely inexpensive and worthwhile upgrade IMO. Unless you are wanting the hybrid mileage of course.
heh, thats funny. i'd say put the damn rock in the mav, thats why its a truck lol.
that said i get it, if its because it's new. i tend to baby things when they are new because i still treasure them lol. After a while when they are older, I dont mind beating them up. Such as my cell phone etc...
i am glad to see it is way bigger than the old ranger
we've seen mav vs most things by now, i'd like to see it vs a last gen Colorado/canyon now since thats what i drive.
glock (probably a bad idea since I leave it under the seat, which means someone could break in and steal it when I'm in the store, but I do it anyway so far). I'm in Texas so thats pretty normal, but also a target for thieves. Flashlight. I think a wrench like channel locks, a serrated folding...
No offense but this seems like a fluff PR vid. I saw one a ways back where a mechanic looked at the Bronco Sport (which seems fairly similar to the Mav to me in terms of engine, undercarriage quality etc) and he just tore it up, basically implied it was cheap junk, and kept sarcastically noting...
