Sorry you had that experience. I had excellent results on my Carbonized Gray, as mentioned above prep is key to any successful coating. It sounds like you may have waited too long to buff it and maybe did not get 100% level on the coat due to that?
Great products, they just take some care in...
My assumptions on how the system works based on the below TM excerpts:
1. Switch tells ECU Park brake is commanded
2. ECU checks permissive list, if all good it sends command to the actuators
3. Actuators turn driving piston inward to a pre-set torque limit. Current draw monitored by ECU...
Looking at the actuators and parking system drawings and components described in the factory service manual there is no danger of air entrainment as the system is entirely separate from the normal service brakes.
It appears that the actuator motors turn the piston in and out, and from the pics...
Going in for my second, pain in the butt. On both of mine these are rocks that would have hit the hood or grill on my old F150...
Wife's '22 Highlander is a good example of bad design ‐- rock took out AC condenser, grill openings are huge with no screening etc. Apparently this is a frequent...
The manual recommends Top Tier gasoline (www.toptiergas.com) for the additive pack in those fuels. Also states the vehicle operates on minimum 87 octane, but for best overall performance use 91 octane....not just towing or hot weather.
Knock is the biggest concern, you will never feel it as the...
Check trans oil level. Mine was very low from factory, others reported the same. Ford is not the only mark with this problem, the root seems to be the trans units arrive at the assembly line pre-filled, this does not account for the cooler and lines. Allegedly Ford expects this level to be...
Well crap. Just found that I can't make either the procedure or forscan work either...forscan tries, I can hear the PB retract and a warning comes up on the dash, then all clears and forscan says service mode interrupted. Same?
