The factory service manual shows 2 options: Drain and Refill & Fluid Exchange.
For drain and refill the procedure is pretty close to what OP has done here, main difference being they don't have you shifting thru the gears prior to checking the level, they give you a volume to replace before...
Detailers routinely do this - 0000 steel wool and a good high quality spray wax as a lubricant. The wax is very important, minimal pressure, similar to what you would use if using a clay bar on paint.
Some will use a clay bar with lube instead, but many use the steel wool.
Windshields get...
All the manufacturers seem to struggle with this anymore, over or under-filled. Mine was 1/2 qt low on first service. Hasn't lost an ounce since.
I have been told the problem for some makes was that the trans units are delivered to the line prefilled and once connected to the trans cooling...
You won't find anything in settings, there is an adjustment knob on the alarm module under the dash. Assuming yours was equipped with the Perimeter Plus system.....that one has adjustable sensitivity. Search Perimeter Plus on here, someone posted the install guide some time back, it includes...
Mr. Toyoda's resignation was a face saving move, driven by political blow-back TMC was receiving from authoritarian governments around the world.
It should not be construed to mean he was wrong in his approach to a fleet mix of vehicles, a mix that will contain very significant numbers of ICE...
Every major? Toyota is one of the largest automotive manufacturers in the world, they have been 1st or 2nd in both numbers produced and revenue for a very long time, and they clearly disagree.
Akio Toyoda will take the company carbon neutral, the plan is to do it intelligently. This means...
No idea, the wiring diagrams for 2022 are listed, English, but the service manual is not even listed now.
A quick phone call to Helm, (800)782-4356 confirms it is still available and still @$205. They had no idea the site page was not working correctly..
Sorry you had a bad experience with...
They are a separate manual, just became available from the same source in September-$95.
Haven't needed this yet, but these wll be the factory diagrams. Helm had to wait until September for Ford to send them the final version......
Yes, assuming you might want to pull the third light and do the splice work at the bench. Ford didn't leave much slack, but the light pigtail can be unplugged by pulling the headliner down (used nylon trim tools) just enough to feel and unplug the pigtail...
No experience with this particular modification, but from installing a new third taillight (with strobe integrated) I can tell you that the harness is well restrained. It will be easier to splice and In order to have slack to work with, to release one of the restraints - wear sleeves as the...
A touch over 18K on my 2.0 AWD with zero problems, great ride with the 4-wheel independent suspension, hand calculated averaging 29mpg, this is fine for me.
Watch your AWD monitor for those that have AWD, you will learn more about how the system works in one or two drives than anyone @ Ford...
Here is analysis on mine @4041 miles. Wear metals and break in materials came in line with norms on second change. Fuel dilution, a common deal with GDI engines, still runs a little high and impacts viscosity. I do not waste money either............

If getting pinch weld adapters understand that Ford designed this one to be lifted on the bottom of the pinch weld, not each side. Check your factory jack, lifts from the bottom.
The factory service manual also only lists the four pinch weld as lift points, nothing else. I have a spreader arm...
