Wish I did, I have had any number of these apart from various manufacturers and there is no component in any of those that would make any noise at all, even when letting the magic smoke out...... 😕
I haven't had one like yours apart though. I would pull it apart and inspect for any clues...
Just an update for anyone on the fence. I have not yet gotten under and placed the cover I mentioned or like @mcc6330 in his thread. Trusting my underbody wash was getting it done until then, but not so much.
On today's wash I decided to pull the left rear taillight and have a look, here is...
I haven't found him active on any other forums. Someone here said he heard his Mav had been hit by a drunk driver.....
He has an etsy store, you might contact him thru there - JJCLLC
Yes, a picture would be great @SkeeterB
@kmish203 if you wind up using one as @huunvubu illustrates above and it is "floppy" , before install place it on your anvil and using a round punch and hammer give it a couple small dimples as shown by the red dots on the pic below, go easy - check often
Some good info in here: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/how-to-hunt-unicorns.11293/#post-227008
Expand the search radius on the Mav site in the address bar, call on open/inbound only as it is near impossible you will find one on a lot. Then call, call, call.....took me only...
Enjoy the truck!
You will find lots of help here, if needed.
Ignore the turds, and the self-righteous as well, and you will have a blast learning about your truck and just about any mod or add-on you can think of!
14k hard driven miles, zero issues. No creaks, flutters, pings, or shudders. Sorry you got a bad one OP, and no the strut mounts are not plastic.......
Adams Graphene Ceramic spray advanced. Truck has 13,896 miles and spends most of its time on construction sites... I used Meguiars hybrid ceramic spray as a part of my normal wash routine until i finally had the time to strip it clean and use the Adam's. Super easy to wash now
BS.
Jeep pulls out and does not begin to accelerate to the posted speed, rather they immediately change lanes to the left and BRAKE in the inside lane on a 55 mph road in order to make an illegal U-turn.
End of story...
Gave mine a good wash, decontamination with iron remover, then ran the clay bar over it. Followed with a prep spray to strip it clean and the Adam's graphene ceramic spray coating. 13,000 miles and damn my commutes are fun!
I have not been able to find any actual Ford data on the 8F35 torque limit / rating. The only info has been a couple of old trade magazines that claim the Fords target torque for that box was lower than what 2.0 produces.
The only other piece of info related are @Buschur findings on the dyno...
No sir - camera has been zero problem on mine. Now the display, sometimes it fires up quick and smooth when I start and sometimes it stays on the Ford logo for 30-40 seconds which is weird.
Sorry for the late reply.
Where did you adjust the sensitivity to? I set mine mid-point and only made one small adjustment after.
And no on the Fordpass notices, I lost the security alert icon and function on an update and have not gotten it back. Really don't want to dump the app and...
The sensors still work after rotating, but the pressures shown in the display are for the old location - right rear indicated pressure is displaying at the left front location, etc.
The BCM still reads the sensors but it doesn't know where they are - pic from the service manual:
