Thanks. My search didn't include the right words. But seeing it done, I got it done although it took some real force to get it out and back in, not as easy as in the video.
Worth knowing how to get the hose connections come apart too.
Has anyone replaced a nozzle themselves? I've got one that's partially plugged and I've managed to remove it from the hood, but I cannot see how to get it snapped back in place. I've tried a search of the forums, but find nothing. Hate to admit defeat and take it to the dealer for this.
Wireless keypad is good but after 5+ years, the battery will go dead. The one time I really needed mine on my Ranger, the second battery (yes, they can be replaced, not easily) was dead and I had locked my phone inside accidentally so I now have a well hidden backup key plus the keypad on my...
Phone would be fine if you don't accidentally lock it inside or you find a location that doesn't have cell coverage. Despite what the big companies advertise, they don't cover the whole country.
The price probably says more about what Ford thinks we will pay for the ESP vs. what their actual expense is. Yes, some of the 2022's are in a position to collect on their ESP if they have one, but the bulk of the Maverick population if just starting to collect and Ford is just beginning to get...
If you turn on the AutoStart/Stop screen on the dash, it will show the reason it is not working. Outside temperature well below freezing, engine temp too cold (first 2 miles), AC working hard can keep it from working, but the main reason I see is vehicle is charging most of the time, even after...
A pass through in a pickup is different than the opening of a wagon or SUV for exhaust entry. With a wagon, the exhaust is dumped into the area behind the vehicle where the air swirls around and it is easily drawn in through the window. With a pickup, the air flow over the cab would prevent...
Mine has alerted but no brakes in a situation where I was rapidly approaching a vehicle and pulling out to pass, probably too close if I wasn’t already swerving out. It’s something I don’t think I could intentionally duplicate to test the system. Perhaps we need to build a cardboard wall to...
While the Maverick may be small compared to a 3/4 Ton or 1 Ton pickup, it is much larger than one that was sold in the 40's and 50's. A Crosley pickup could be hauled in a Maverick, weighed 1250# and had a payload of 500#. I'd like to have one to play with.
If Ford is willing to cover the turbo for 10 years under their extended warranty without suggesting a cool down period is needed and they shoulld know, I'd say it's not needed.
But if were towing 4K at 70 mph and pulled into a rest area, I' d probably let it idle for a bit.
There is an Auto Stop screen selectable for the dash that will let you monitor why it is not working. Mine usually says not stopping because vehicle is charging as auto stop rarely works. Below mid-20's, it's because outside temp is too low.
Mine was giving false indications during the summer when I had filled it with plain water. This stopped after I filled it with -20* solution. It would appear that plain water is not conductive enough for the sensor to work properly.
