I almost went with those hertz mille, I love them, amazing highs and great midbass. Would never pay MSRP on them are to be honest, I almost got them for around 900 for the set though only main reason I considered them. I'm excited to see your L7 get put in though, that will be badass, and I love...
Just got told from the dealer that they can't figure it out and for me to come pick it up. Pretty much told them that if it happens again I'm trading it in.
This situation has me pretty pissed off to be completely honest and the fact they are just giving it back and not trying to figure it out...
No sir, they are running the test with battery still on the truck. My charging system is actually amazing from all the tests. I'm hoping since we actually had a kinda cold night last night and that's only time it really acts up that it's acting up for them.
I wish I still had the build log to...
Well I got told today that they can't figure out what it is and that since the battery won't fail any tests they can't replace it.
So they told me I need to call corporate to see if they would approve the battery change since my other won't fail and got told by corporate that they won't approve...
That's around the same time that my truck was built as well. I've been wondering if they got a defective batch of batteries.
When I talked to the dealer they said they would be able to change it for me. I really need to go get forescan though lol
I've asked them to do a parasitic draw test on everything, to try and narrow it down. I'm hoping that will find it or they will be awesome and replace the battery without me paying too lol but I would get the agm instead of this enhanced flood one I got
Mines been doing this very thing lately but not starting as well, been at the dealership multiple times and the battery keeps passing the tests so they say nothing can do and to keep them informed. Will be taking in on Saturday for diagnostic but they said they are 8 days out on top of that so...
I have used a lc7i in the past and I wasn't a huge fan compared to a dsp. But I'm also not a huge audio control fan either, one of the most buggy dsp's they make and their amps ran on the hot side and the price vs performance I wasn't a huge fan of either.
I would personally look for a used dsp...
I noticed most used the threaded screw holes on the passenger side metal piece that sticks out. I cut off the piece in blue, and made a bracket to bolt them on the one in red which has one on both sides.
For my tweeters they had to be modified, we dremeled the inside for it fit perfectly inside...
We used 1/2" birch for the amp rack as well. And we were gonna use the mounts already there like a few have but I just didn't have the depth I wanted with the 3 amps and dsp back there. So we cut that part off on the passenger side and attached at higher points. If you look on the photos at each...
So here are some more pictures of the build and figured I would give a little more information on it so I am running two modified Italia Hifi 4-channel amplifiers (modified by David at sound express), ATI Telesto two-way in the front which is same family as Italia hifi and PHD but is their...
Active is where you have a DSP that you can go in and make a lot more custom adjustments, and also one of my favorite features on it is time alignment.
But to wire that we had to run wires from the head unit to the dsp, then the dsp to amps, then run the wires to the speakers. We didn't go...
I don't yet, but I will when I rip out all the mega zorbe around Christmas time. I don't have crossovers either as I am running active with the focal DSP. I don't mind questions either so have at them
Yes sir, this is Baltic birch so it's also won't absorb moisture, but to be on the even more safe side it also got sealed to be 1000% safe. I almost went with HDPL but just liked the way Baltic birch looked with the crystal cone
Yes sir they do, they are plug and play pretty much. I actually just sold these yesterday to someone with a maverick close to near where I live. But most 4 inch coaxials fit and are plug and play.
I'm actually getting rid of my PHD next week sometime for the 5 1/4, the 5 1/4 will require custom...
This is how we had it originally, and the door card was barely popping off, once I get the thinsulate on I will be doing some rivnuts in the screw locations to hold the door card better. And putting the rings back on as well. But hard to fit anything in this door panel.
Planning on doing...
No sir that's the front door, it's a 1.5" ring to be able to fit the massive mid bass. Had to cross it over at 90hz vs 60 due to flex.
So I'm gonna have to take the mega zorbe out of the front doors and do more deadener on them and then do thinsulate or fibermat from resonix in the doors cards...
Some things happened over Thanksgiving break lol will be adding a third amp in the future when the subs go in. When subs go in, I will be doing a 5 1/4 in the rear, just didn't have time
