Looking amazing!! I'm loving all the pictures as well, definitely let us know the massive difference, I can only imagine with how much road noise is there

They are the fb6.1 pro's, it uses a 1 inch silk dome tweeter, I'm surprised by the crossover as well, especially because they can handle a lot of power.
This is what the tweeter looks like
Here are the components, better then the focal flax but not as good as the new kx3 in my opinion (my buddy thinks they are better then both) they are pretty dang heavy lol
Got some 6.5" coaxials that I will be trying to test fit sometime soon in the rear, which will be very interesting if I will be able to fit, but I will be taking the mounting area off the trim and mounting them to the metal if I am able to fit them.
Also got some spare components for front just...
Nice! Never beat yourself up for that, rather it gets done exactly how you want and that takes time no reason to rush. It turned out great on that one door
Heck yeah man, that's exactly what I have in mine. I'm actually about to redo mine and do luxury liner pro and then mega zorbe on top of it ( I messed up and didn't do 100% coverage on the door skin for CLD and I'm getting flex)
I can't blame you for that, it's worth a try to atleast protect...
You won't get much benefits unless you put it on the door itself, putting them on the door card and the black piece will do a tiny bit but not much like you noticed.
Definitely get rid of the boom mat speaker baffles, they cut off airflow to the driver which is why your getting less bass now...
My biggest recommendation is fill the bar that the latches are connected to with some type of insulation, it makes a huge difference, even with deadener and everything, make it feel solid
I'm really excited for that, I'll definitely be watching especially for the floors as I'll be doing a barrier on mine sometime in the summer.
Are planning to do anything to the roof or pillars?
I know with 6 x 9 you can use a adapter and fit a 8", so I bet you could find a pretty nice shallow mount 8" sub to fit as well so you have more options.
Nice looks really good, when you have it done you should really do a post with a review of it.
I guess people should look at the audison APBX 8 AS2 for under the back seat would have a more easy time fitting
A line out converter isn't a DSP, a DSP does full active xo, separate eq per driver, individual driver level matching and Time Alignment. A LOC is used to attenuate the speaker level output ( high level ) down to an RCA level (low level).
Just saying you can't go fully active using a LOC, which...
I'm honestly not sure if the Audio control dsp has the ability to flatten or clean the factory HU signal, when I was messing around with them a couple years ago and when I was helping a buddy tune a truck a few months ago you couldn't and it was very buggy and would crash over and over. It also...
I definitely think you'll be able to get rid of that noise floor when you do the final install.
Your gonna have to decouple everything with that much low end your gonna with those beast 😳 I'm excited to see the build go on, definitely post pictures of everything!
CCF doesn't absorb any sound, it deflects it if anything, it should be used either with a barrier or for just decoupling purposes.
Open cell foam is better at absorbing sounds but it needs to be pretty thick to do anything, and it would need to go through a hydrophobic process as well.
You...
Just in case anyone loves amp porn, here are some pictures of mine when upgraded.
It has upgraded Burr-Brown OP-Amps, along with upgraded Rubycon capacitors
It's really easy, all that work on both doors most likely took my 4 hours total, and now that I know how to take the black piece off better, I could take it off in about 15 minutes and that's with the door trim.
That made most likely the biggest difference in how it sounded as well. I had put...
