So I ended up buying 2 pairs of components to see which I like more, some phd fb6.1 pro and also some focal ps165fxe. But I'm also thinking about trading in the PhD and getting some illusion c6 now after seeing sir John's build. I am also selling my helix amp now as well lol
I am honestly not sure yet, they told me they couldn't really ball park things until they get a full look and get things apart. If I'm guessing, it's gonna be around 300 - 600
Nice, that's a absolutely build, I love mosconi amps, such amazing and clean output. And those illusion audio are just some of the most beautiful speakers and subs I've ever seen.
I ended up going with helix for my amps but that might be changing to mosconi soon, especially after seeing how...
I'm going back and further between a few pairs of components right now, the CDT's are a really good deal but I fell in love with the way the Steven audio sa6 sound.
Yes sir it has a 1/64 layer of lead between the two sheets of overkill, which is a little stiffer then I want, for the rear doors...
I'm gonna be having a place by me called MTI to get my trim panel and 3D print me a new one with being able to go to a bigger speaker. But it's not cheap at all
So I ended up sending audiofrogs back and these is alot of new things happening. Been talking to MTI in college station not to far from me for doing custom tweeter in the pillars or a custom bracket for a better angle by the window for reflections.
They will also be doing a custom sub box for...
I have for sale my hertz dcx 100.3 which were my rear speakers and they were used for maybe a week before taking them out and wrapping them back up.
Only reason I'm selling is because I plan on going to a 5.25 speaker soon in the rear.
The pei tweeter on these coaxial are really good for...
I get around 24.7 driving my normal way (very heavy foot) and I am 60% highway in my 2 and half months owning it I've put 2700 miles on it so far. I've gotten up to 29 - 31 on long highway trips as well. Put I'm in Texas and it's very hot and I also only use 93
Ended up going with the audiofrogs it was hard as those ground zero were beautiful and sounded amazing just harder install is what keep me from it.
I'll be installing front doors and rear pillar speaker and I'll be doing cld and mega zorbe on the front doors and cld and LLP on the back wall and...
Looks like I'm finally starting to get all the pieces together for my build.
I will be breaking it down into stages.
Stage 1: Sound deaden the back wall and the pillars that the rear speakers attach too, then installing the hertz 100.3 coaxial.
Stage 2: I will be sound deadening the front and...
I ended up going the hertz dcx100.3 for the rears as I got them for a amazing price.
But main reason I went with those is the tweeter on them is pei material so they would pair with fabric or a metal dome tweeter and match pretty well
I am going to be doing the mega zorbe from second skin and wasn't sure if it would even fit, I already have the cld, mlv, and ccf just wondering if I needed more ccf or if I could get the bigger option.
I was gonna just do deadening but being in Texas I'm wanting a good insulator as well.
@Stitchy do you know if 1/2" thick foam would be able to go in the door which out messing with the window?
I don't want to open my door till everything gets here and was just looking at how deep those pockets are on the door
Thank you for letting me know, I'm definitely going to go online and check that out. I've never actually used them before, I'm loving that warranty is amazing.
