The 69 F100 had a 390 as well! My F150s had the 300 L6. A beast of an engine. Would pull anything and you almost could not kill it. One of the best truck engines ever made.
As for the Mazda, it was a "King Cab" that had little sideways facing jump seats instead of a rear bench. You can...
Welcome to the club!
One danger is that you will be looking for excuses to drive your truck! I sure do! That surprised me. I put on a ARE Cap so I can haul my 2 senior labs around. Makes for a nice weather tight cargo area. One mistake was not adding in the headliner. The ARE interior...
Nice 77!
Learned to drive on a 69 F100 3 on the tree, fleet side, long wheel base, power nothing.

You can probably guess I am closer to 70 than 60!
Wish I still had the 69 and the mazda!
I went with a 2024 XLT Lux Hybrid because I wanted real buttons and knobs and not everything on a touch screen. I only use the screen for car play maps and it would be nice if it was larger, but it will do.
As far as SW quality. It is much better than our Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. Its...

I have a 2024 XLT Hybrid. Averaging 45.5 mpg. My Wife has a 2025 CR-V hybrid, it gets 39 MPG. The Mav also has a much larger gas tank so its range is double the CR-V.
Maverick for the win!
CR-V is better for hauling GrandKids and Groceries. Mav for everything else...
on of the main reasons I went with a 2024 instead of a 2025. I have real buttons and knobs. I also did not like the front end on the 2025. I saw another thread where they installed clickable buttons on a screen protector. All nice hacks to fix what should never be broken. And ya I know...
That is why they offer EB and Hybrid options :). Not one size fits all fits all for sure. I went with hybrid. I get 45 MPG and yes I know the 30K I spent will buy lots of gas! My insurance did not increase. I love the way it drives. It just suited me and my needs.
Now I own non hybrid...
Seems Ford is starting to do take aways to keep the price down and preserve profit margin. The 26 XLT has several things deleted such as the rear seat fold down arm rest. The bad thing is once the tariffs are gone, the price won't go down and the features won't come back.
We have a Pacifica plugin hybrid minivan. We use it around town and hauling grandkids. Almost never put gas in it. The Hybrid MPG kinda sucks as we get around 30 mpg or so. Our Mav hybrid is averaging 45! The Pacifica has 3 cooling systems. Battery, Engine, and one I can't remember. So...
Congrats on the new rig. Pics?
What made you trade? I plan on keeping our 24 XLT hybrid until the wheels fall off. Then put them on again and keep going.
I got this PALATALA Dog Ramp for CarPALATALA Dog Ramp for Car on amazon.
I chose the 67" x 20". There are a ton of them on amazon and I got one that is long enough not to be too steep and wide enough not to give the dogs a great platform. Lots of choices. but this one works for me...
I went for the XLT hybrid with the Lux package, It happened to also come with the black appearance package. I could not afford the additional cost of the lariat. The XLT Has enough of the options that I wanted. Decided I would not miss ACC as I never used it anyway on my wife's car.
I put...
