I have always driven a full sized 8' bed, standard cab PU. You know a "Real" PU. Starting with a 69 F100 power nothing 3 on the tree, to my current RAM 1500 tradesman. I first heard about mavericks back in 2022 and thought, who would ever want one. It's not a "real" truck. Well fast forward...
Ok So maybe I'm a Snow Wimp, but my snow setup is just keep it in the garage. Snow does not last long here so we hunker down for a day or two then get on with our business. Besides I like to keep my trucklet symmetrical just like it came from the factory 🤣🤣🤣
I did find this Flexible Microfiber duster which gets the crud out. I wrap shop towels around it to dry the window.
It has been raining pretty constantly here in the PNW. Once it drys out a bit I will be putting PPF over the gap and see how that works.
Things I should have done, but was...
Maybe I'm Biased, but once AWD Hybrid was available, I expected hybrids to outsell EB. Makes a fantastic commuter vehicle and people seem to want AWD.
I forgo AWD for physical controls for radio and climate in my 2024. Also still dont like the new front end.
Ford announced their quarterly results. Mav sales up slightly over 200%!
not too bad for our favorite little truck.

Ok This is an old thread, but I do have the same issue with leaves and crap getting caught in between the 2 windows. I do not have a tilt rear window or a slider in the truck. Did you find a solution to filling the gap?
In the 70's the USFS used Ford LTD's with all terrain tires on the back and skid plates installed up front. Never saw one stuck. Forest service and logging roads were pretty gnarly. Sometimes just little more than a goat trail.
Surprised anyone did not mention the RamCharger, which is an EREV. Of course it has been a long time in coming and still not here. Hope ford can execute better than RAM on the concept.
My grandkids are in booster seats and it is super easy. However when one was still in a car seat it was a pain. The anchor points for the car seat straps are pretty deep. I had to get a longer strap for the graco car seat we had so it could clip in easier. After that it was a snap.
Hmm I guess I am the exception that proves the rule. I adore my 2dr RAM 1500 with an 8' bed. This is my hauling truck. Try putting 3 yards of mulch (or anything else) in a short bed truck. For dump runs, dirt and mulch hauling, I will take a Standard cab 8' bed every time. In fact I did...
My Grandkids in their car seats ride back there. Plenty of room. They like riding in Grandpa's Little Truck. We also have a Honda CRV Hybrid. It has more rear seat space, but the Mav does just fine.
I have a drop in and a rubber bed mat. Always have spray in before this. Really like the drop in. I added a rubber bed mat to keep things from sliding. Really nice combo. One down side is that I had to cut down the rubber bed mat. The drop in takes up a bit of room. I also don't use bed...
