Honda used to sell a wire wrap to deter rodents. Hondas were particularly tasty to vermin. I have also used dryer sheets when the peppermint oil did not work. Although Peppermint smells better IMO.
First welcome to the club! As others have said, no wrong choices! There seems to be a Mav for every use case. We have a 24 XLT Lux Hybrid and cannot be happier. Getting into and out of the cab is super easy as is parking it.
Our use case is taking our dogs out and about. We also...
Our first Hybrid was/is a Chrysler Pacifica plug in. Driving it really helped train our driving habits to maximize fuel economy. There are displays to show how you are using the EV side of things. It was rated at 36 miles on EV and we now typically get more than that.
I use the EV coach on...
I was accused of bringing down the US auto industry since I usually buy a car, drive it until the wheels fall off, put them on again and do it all over again. I finally got rid of my 1997 Ram 2500 when it got more expensive to keep it going than to drive it. Sold it and got a new 2018 Ram...
And no power steering. I had to pass my drivers test in a 69 f100 power nothing, 3 on tree. Parallel parking was a b*tch, but I did it! Fortunately things have improved a lot since then!.
I do miss that old beast.
Glad my Mav does not drive like that.
The 24 XLT Lux has the cloth power-adjustable drivers seat and 4 way manual passengers seat. Both are heated. Much better than the stock XL or XLT seats. I think the 26 is going to lose this option. :(
You are correct sir, Typing Early with brain fog. it was a 69 F100 not a 77. Looking through old pics to see if I can find a picture. He replaced it with a 77.
Late to the party! Great Thread.
Just proves the old saying
Never insult a Mans Dog or Truck! (some would also say Mother) Unless you are picking a fight.
I love the Hybrid. Drives great and I get 45MPG to boot.
I went with XLT Lux to get better seats, etc. Now one could argue that Lux...
I had 2 trucks with the 300 l6. Both had a 4 speed floor mounted shifter. Low was very very low. (Granny Gear) That engine was/is bullet proof. Lots of torque. One of the best engines ever put in a truck.
The F150 came about to cheat the milage requirements. It was a slightly heaver...
Welcome to the fold. Sounds like a nice rig. I really love my 24 XLT Hybrid. Getting 45 MPG. Great Ride, Comfy Interior, can haul what I need. Mostly my 2 labs and grand kids. It is a blast to drive.
Send some pics!
Welcome Aboard,. Really looking forward to pics. Got my 24 XLT Lux Hybrid in April. Did not know how much I was going to love it! Great little truck.
My wife also has some chronic issues that makes it hard to git in some vehicles, especially ones with a deep foot well. Maverick, no...
Nope never had AWD or 4wd. Wanted just a simple(ish) truck. FWD works just fine for me. Hardly ever snows here and when it does, I just stay home. No steep, muddy, or rocky roads. Love the mpg of my 24 XLT hybrid (45). Would not get that with AWD. My truck is just a road truck.
You can upgrade, but it is a bit pricey. I dont use anything on the touch screen anyway, except for maps from car play. I guess I'm just a luddite!
My other truck is a 2013 Ram 1500 tradesman, 8' bed, standard cab, with as few bells and whistles I could get. You know kind of a fleet truck...
