I live my Livernois tunes for towing.
It tows much better. I notice it most on the smaller rolling hills of n stead of always downshifting it will pull the same gear up and over.
Please try and not take this the wrong way but these brakes are not excellent by any means. In fact it was the one thing I thought really could be improved. Even the lobo was lacking but better.
The ebc was a big set up from factory but are dusty.
I get it man. When I first had them do my 150. I didn’t have the stones to do the 93 tow tune. So I did 87 and ran 93.
I finally did at 100k and was think why I didn’t do it sooner way better mpg and power. It went the next 300k with the 93 while towing.
I’m at 88k tuned miles on mine from...
You will not feel any issues with the tune. But your assumption with them being safe is false. It’s a base map and although the power is lower than a custom it’s still not for your specific vehicle.
Cobb holds no liability for a tune you load. I’m glad I’m not the only one who has stated that...
Glad you guys do this. Price shopping makes sense. I’m shocked at how some dealers act.
Heck I just ordered an explorer st. The sales manager seemed upset that I found a significantly lower prices elsewhere. They did match but he mad the comment. “I can’t believe they would do that”
Lol
Thank you.
Those tires have become very popular here in Michigan for the winters. They seem to be pushed hard also by every tire shop. They may be good but I can’t get past the looks. lol
Your biggest upgrade will be scroth quick fit harness. I was able to get some time in a lobo. And that was the tough part staying in place. A harness would be the best for cutting lap times.
You are in the right track.
You will not find a better pad for hpde and street than the ebc Bluestuff. I still prefer them over my race pads for time attack. The feel is the best. Never had them fail the race pads I run just last forever.
Your setup is gonna be exactly what you are looking for...
They are surprisingly good haulers.
What did you find the best speed to be? In my ecoboost I found 68-72 to be the best speed while hauling for stability and fuel economy.
And here I am pissed that someone at ford thinks it’s a great idea to lump the 3.0l engine in the explorer tremor into a 12k lux package.
As a fellow stock holder I am not happy. Went from ordering a new explorer today with the 3.0l to not even an option for 12k.
Jim is literally the worst ceo...
Heck my f-150’s went from 13 mpg to now over 28 on the highway in a 15-20 year period. That’s a lot less tax revenue and should have been good enough to keep the environmental people happy.
Welcome to the government.
They are gonna waste and just ask for more. That everywhere. In Michigan we pay a gas guzzler tax on big hp gt500 and hellcats. But don’t we also pay more based on using more fuel?
They need to learn they have a spending. Problem not a revenue problem.
My 24 I swapped for redline rdu fluid. Seemed to work much better for traction. About 2 mo th ago I had the same weird sound after turning. Random awd disabled signals. Then nothing. Towed a lot of trailers in ff road adventures and about 20k miles. No such sounds again and everything seems fine.
That is not necessarily true. First carbon gets soft as it is warmed up. So do it while it’s warm. Second VW has been recommending that for a long time. They have not had a massive string of turbo failure.
plus after using that and amsoil power foam to decarbon heads before porting I can tell...
That is true but we also have a lot of data proving it was the wrong oils. I’ve been in the ecoboost game for a long time. I’ve seen the standards change fast. Hell just look at the Manuel transmission Mustang and focus st and rs. They had a lot of oil related failures that some that chose...
What both you kinda miss is back then oil analysis wasn’t as easy or common. Oil was not as good hence 3k mile service. I to have had many many vehicles go well beyond 350k.
But the fact is we are getting more power out of a small displacement engine than most those his vehicles listed...
