I don’t think the bigger tires have anything to do with it. I have 265’s on mine been tuned for 50k and a lot of abuse. Axles have outlasted stock ones.
So who knows what is really causing it. Lifted probably. Big tires probably not
I wasn’t trying to point out it was the same. Just simply pointing out that just because the cap says one thing doesn’t make the next one unsafe.
Maybe this way is a better way to say it.
Rs engine is exactly the same as the 2.3 mustang. Different gasket and turbo.
One calls for 5w30 the other...
I like the build. Nicely done. I run the same size tires on mine no lift. Ran the first few days no rub. Once everything settled I get a bit of rub but it’s been fine for 50k miles.
Do you plan to tune it anytime soon? Heads and turbo are pricey but a tune is quite the add on for mine.
Silver lake sand dunes has a bronco event every year that the bronco club puts on.
Last year it could have doubled as a maverick meet.
It’s on a random Friday and Saturday. If I remember correctly. Gonna try and hit it up this year
Well we can make our own diesel. I’d argue easier than solar.
gas not so easy. But diesel can run and just about any oil. Knew a guy once that did all his own. It was kinda cool cause you could tell which oil he made his fuel from based on smell when he went by.
You Wil be shocked at the amount of dirt and salt will be left on your driveway after using one of these for about 20-30 min. Even after a few heavy rain drives.
I highly recommend these especially for our rust belt northern areas.
I’ll point out these sprayers don’t have nearly enough pressure to ruin the felt under panels or wash off any coating. It’s very mild. I have done it for years here in Michigan soft panels are still going strong after 280k miles on my edge.
As for engine bay. I used my normal power washer. Put a bit of dish soap on the valve cover. Spray let sit then blast off. Keep it under 2k psi and wide spray wand.
Make sure to use a bunch of water InThe hood openings to get the salt out.
Yep I use one very similar. Have for years. It really does seem to make a difference on the rust. Especially in the rust belt.
It takes a ton of time to get all the stuff off.
Also very common for people to get a sprinkler and leave it on under the vehicle all night. Amazing amount of debris...
move found the rdu is pretty quick to lock up on the standard one. The only thing that holds these back is the traction control. Even with the sand mode and turning it off with the button it will still activate while spinning.
I’ve been pleasantly surprised with how well this truck handles off...
It’s a better question to ask what is best for you. Screw the next guy who cares.
you would you add fake rack to your wife for your enjoyment or for the next fella?
If you don’t plan on towing don’t get it. Enjoy the better fuel mileage. If you plan to tow more often then add it.
I added mine...
Here is in the cab from my truck. These don’t do justice to how steep and tall these are in real life. But I will get some better footage this summer trying. To show that.
Mine is also just an xl but I have rims and tire and a tune
Yes count a slow three. Turn off and unhook. It’s very hard to brick an ecu with Livernois. You would almost have to lose power during the tune itself. I’ve seen them unhooked while flashing and you can reload the tune after hooked up. But if you lose complete power it would brick.
Also I’ve...
Yes the maverick has some recall stuff but overall it’s very minimal. In fact so much so that all 4 of the ones I know about only one has even had a single recall done. Mine nope. The twin my friend bought in the same delivery as mine nope, my uncles 22 one recall update, and my buddies 23 has...
I’ve had them all over the map for miles. I have a good sales guy that send pictures when off the trailer. Some just get driven more for testing and then obviously some for the dealer after prep and fill fuel.
Even the ford performance stuff has more than you would think but they have all come...
Agree, if my drivetrain works I’m happy.
It just gets very tiring hearing people say how Honda and Toyota last forever.
So did the early 90’s ford rangers and Chevy s-10’s
Those vehicles had almost zero emissions to meet and very few electrical components.
