I don’t believe that it true cause I would have known. Everything I own gets tuned and ford has never said anything.
plus im not sure they can even do ecu tunes over the air. Two separate systems.
Me personally I would skip them all and go with Livernois. The software they use is much better. Plus they offer the same style adaptive tune that I have been running for 98k miles now.
I just prefer the fact they do a lot of work with ford performance and are the only company that invested...
Will 100 percent be better Cobb ots tunes are garbage imo.
I would expect Cobb to recommend the access port. That is kinda how they make money.
Just poking fun .
Elevation shouldn’t matter if the tune is correct it will handle the rests. Nothing special about tuning for elevation. You just didn’t get what you needed for one reason or another.
So the Cobb is just the device that holds the tunes to load.
now Livernois does some more technical stuff so they developed a software just for them called the mycal. I prefer that setup to Cobb. It allows a bit more of a complete tune file. Even tunwerks has mentioned it. Kinda the reason they...
Btw why no e30? Its works very well and you don’t have to be exact. I run a lot of close to e30 mix and I have almost 300k on my wife’s edge 2.0 running just the e30 tune. And I run the e30 a decent amount in mine and think it’s pretty neat.
Just curious is all but understand as I went a full...
Nice perfect post really. I just like to make sure everyone knows and again. I think the flex octane tune is the best of the tunes for ease of use and gains.
Let me say that the tune is by far the first thing I do and the best mod i do. Everything drives better and seems to have zero negative...
He probably is building a better base with all those revision. Would be interesting to see this tune when done vs others on the same dyno.
But to be clear I can say that after being in the ecoboost game a long time. First thing that stands out is they are not the only company as they claim...
Never heard of monster but it’s always a good thing when new companies come along because it forces them all to get better. Keep us updated on the progress.
I just hit 100k of tuned miles on mine and that’s a lot of towing and e30 ripping. Lots of off road stuff also.
So these tunes can be...
Nice, will that allow for multi octane then? I have that function from Livernois and it’s my favorite not as big of power as a dedicated 93 tune but it’s super convenient for fueling while traveling.
I use that the most and when I know I want more I’ll load the e30 and play.
I’ll try and snap more pictures this year of hunting with my maverick. Gonna scale back in my Texas trip cause I just got back from Africa and between the Cape buffalo and sable. I kinda spent my yearly budget. Was fun though shot those and a wildebeast, several impala, kudu, water buck, and...
Ya depends on the area. We cull any adult male deer that are not of good genetics. So they don’t breed. We also have to many doe so those get culled.
Texas is different for sure. They have a bunch of invasive species that have no natural predators with limited resources. So they need to be thinned.
No this was culling. We take them back to a cleaning station. If we field dressed them the entire area would be nasty. We took over 20 audad out of that one stand and none ran more than 40 yards. So would be a touch sit with that stuff rotting in the heat of Texas.
in Mich here I do both. Field...
It certainly is a great little truck for hunting. I take mine every trip now. It fits down the trails better than my 150 and I don’t feel as bad scratching it a bit. Plus much easier to load game in the back.
Here is a load of audad.
Well I have compared them. I get about 2mpg better with the tune than without. I haul the same trailer the same route a lot and they are all long 1500 mile trips usually. So it’s been a constant 2 mpg better.
Just go for it far more trouble free mavericks than troubles.
don’t dare go look at the crv site. Remember the internet only houses mostly unhappy reports.
I’ve got just over 90k miles on my maverick and by the report you think it would have left me stranded long ago. Nope it’s been very good...
