Black in last place is interesting. I wonder if the would-be black buyers switched to Alto Blue.
I'm sure more white trucks than represented here, but as fleet trucks and not the typical forum reader.
Where you live makes a big difference. Living in the south, I've never been a fan of dark interiors for that reason. Up North, maybe it's not as big a problem for most of the year.
Trying to stay cool is why I wouldn't even consider the Lariat as well. Nothing worse than skin touching vinyl...
Yes, I suspect I'm going to be rolled into '24 and they might have a PHEV then. Unless they use newer tech, I'm not expecting above 35 mile advertised range. Mavericks cousin, the escape gets 37, but Maverick probably get slightly less due to truck gearing.
So, it might just about get me to...
For me the selling points for XLT are:
Arm rest/cupholders in back.
Not a depressing dark interior
Cyber Orange color available.
And most importantly: might actually get built 2023.
Minor pluses
The lockable tailgate might come in handy if I ever get a tonneau. Keypad, alarm.
Everything...
Price matters to some of us. I'm paying cash and only willing to spend so much.
An EV Maverick the same price as the hybrid. No competition. Of course I'd get the EV.
An EV Maverick starting at $40k. Nope. Out of my price range, won't even consider
Price matters! Regarding PHEV, I...
I was hybrid order number 15. They told me I probably wouldn't get a '23.
I didn't order anything highly constrained. Biggest constraint is 360package so I have a little hope
FYI, I originally wasn't going to use Jim Hudson based upon your review but someone else on here mentioned that they would waive all that silly stuff. If you asked.
Thought I'd give them a chance.
Sure enough, like you said they tried to add a bunch of extra crap like starching the seats for...
Other than colour. That's the exact same reasoning and choices I made.
360 a safety issue. Trailer hitch and XLT instead of XL because of more allocations.
I did go cyber orange for color though, mainly because it's the safest color to drive. There's a reason school buses are that color...
If it doesn't get built as a MY2023 then you don't get the price protection in 2024. You have to reorder and pay next year's price. (Although they will probably award you a rebate)
Will be interesting to see if dealership will eat that mistake or pass it to me. They gave me a price sheet already that is signed. Not sure how much that is real price protection.
My dealer said they were allocated 7 hybrids. I was order #15.
Most of us won't be getting our trucks as MY2023. Unless they get more allocated next year or get more than they were allocated... They've already filled up all their allocations for MY2024... 🤣
On the sales order information that my dealer gave me, I notice they had $0 next to the Cyber Orange option. Did they make a mistake, or is Cyber Orange no longer a premium color? I was expecting $400 as that's what it was last year. I'm happy with $0 though.
Did anyone else order CO for...
That's the one. I originally contacted them in July and they said they'd contact me when order banks opened. They didn't so I contacted them. Then they told me they would need two days to enter existing orders and they'd contact me. They didn't. Emailed them again this morning to see if I...
Contacted Chapman the day order banks opened since everyone had good experiences with them (not first time), and they told me they'd get back to me in two days, they are busy. Sent them an email first thing this morning to see if they would still be able to fit me in. No response back.
If...
