Dangerous. Because if you think you've missed your window you could buy something else instead.

Same with me. Contacted first day and they said "give me two days, we're busy". Wondering now if I need to try a different dealer or if it's too late.

Everyone will have different opinions of course. Personally, I was unconvinced by the photos I saw of Velocity Blue, but then when I saw it on the road, I was highly impressed. Beautiful color. Oh well, irrelevant now it's no longer available I guess.

Good to know. Also tried getting a quote for a Corolla, order, from Midlands Toyota (who I believe are owned by same people) only by email. They tried adding the same package. When I asked if I could get a quote without the package they said no, has to come with all new cars. I didn't...

That's good to know, but proceed with caution. I was reading somewhere on here that other people said that Jim Hudson adds services that you can't get out of... Things like window tinting and starching the seats and force you to pay crazy inflated rates. I'll see if I can find the thread, if...

Thanks. Easley is a little bit of a drive, but worth it to avoid markup and can visit the family on the way into the upstate. Might see if anywhere local has it with no makeup or forced extras. Jim Hudson and Lugoff ruled out already.

Technically winter doesn't start until Dec 21st, so if the start building in November there should be some getting delivered this fall.

Not trucks. But a $3000 price bump means it will be more than the Corolla hatchback nicely loaded and same price as you can get a nice civic... Keeping fingers crossed there is no price bump.

So supposedly according to other threads. Ordering is open for everyone today, even new buyers not rolling over. But still no order guides available. Still no prices available. What on earth is going on? Ford really making a mess of this.

Last year when I tried to order too late they said no dealer markup above MSRP. This year they've changed to add $4000 to the price of MSRP, so no longer a good place to buy from, they've joined the scalping game. They say it's because of "Ford's new sales model"... 🤣

I'm not going to Ford until I know how much it is going to cost. A few premonitions suggest Maverick might not be a cheap truck any more.

Everyone's got their list of pros and cons. For me the price was the deciding factor over a Honda Civic or Toyota with a manual transmission and a roof rack. (Kayaker, easier to carry a 14' kayak on a car than a truck). If price goes up $2750... I'm going to reevaluating are the cons of...
