Ok after a week I definitely believe they cut noise, it’s especially noticeable on the county roads that have the rough surfaces. It cuts some of the higher freq sounds I think.
If it looked more like a truck I would have really been interested even at the higher price point because I like their 10/100K warranty. My wifes Hyundai Santa Fe is 10 years old / 150K and has only had two issues in the last 10 years that happened after the warranty ran out. It's a solid car -...
Very possible it could be - I'm going to do more testing and see if the device will continue working for that length of time if under load at different points. In my initial test the draw would have only been for the LED light in standby mode.
I'll try using it for 10 minutes after the truck...
I got the neo covers from the ford website. They aren’t great in terms of fit. They don’t cover the sides which sucks. It took a lot of fiddling but I’ve got them in now. They work but I’m going to get wet okole seat covers as soon as they come out. I had ordered some other ones but my order...
The device wasn't pulling any amps aside from the LED light so don't think that would be the case in this test. It also was exactly 1 hour and 30 minutes when it shut off.
Did a test this evening. I wired up a 12V electronic device and ran the truck for a short trip - device was on (LED light glowing), pulled in the garage and turned off the truck and pulled out the key and started the stopwatch on the iPhone.
I DID NOT LOCK THE VEHICLE with the keyfob or...
There are 2-3 grommets but they have wiring harnesses going through then and I’m running coax for ham radio and cb equipment and you’re not supposed to run them near each other as stray RF can sometimes effect car systems. The location I’ve chosen is far away from all other wiring.
I'm trying to remove one of these panels without breaking anything but can't seem to figure out how they are attached?
I'm running some wires to the back of the bed and I want to run them in the cavity (above the wheel wells) in the bed. There is a small vent right in the corner and I'm going...
Ok picked mine up today. Doubt it's worth the $80 but I'll shoot some photos and video of putting them in and I'll try to see if there is any difference on noise.
I do a lot of surfing/camping and my issue is that I want to keep my camping gear secure while I'm surfing. I have a tonneau cover but even with racks I won't fit all my camping gear inside.
The answer for me will be a canopy/topper and I'll throw rook racks on top. Then I can double stack...
Started my ecoboost and this message popped up. First time I’ve ever seen that one. It’s in an orange block in the middle of the dash display. Disappeared before I could get a photo of it.
I looked but no clutch pedal in my automatic :)
Ford got some weird software voodoo going in these trucks.
Went to dealer and asked about insulators. Their team looked at build docs for XLT eco and said not included in build and they showed me the image/diagram so not a warranty issue. So I ordered them. $80.
