Sorry for your bad luck. I’m in the camp of never having done a transmission fluid change in my life on a vehicle. Don’t plan on starting now. Seems like it’s just asking for trouble.
H4 was harder to find before so many went with H5. I chose that to have more CCAs.
Definitely is an issue with the BMS and BCS. Ford knows but hasn’t admitted it publicly.
My brand new H5 AGM that I topped off, reset BMS, and waited is reading 12.25 in the morning. I haven’t even taken for a drive yet, but I don’t have faith this is going to fix whatever is draining the battery.
Installed the Walmart H5. I did remove the plastic around it and hammered the metal down. Fully charged it, reset the BMS, and now it is resting. Hopefully I’ll get at least three good years out of it.
Such a PITA that Ford doesn’t fix this problem.
Has anyone installed the H5 AGM from Costco? Looking to see if it fits and vent tube can connect just fine.
I looked at it tonight and saw a hole that looks like it is for the vent but wasn’t sure. Does a cap come off the hole so it works correctly?
My battery seems to have just died this morning when I went to start it. It is on the charger now but we'll see what happens. I've been dealing with Deep Sleep since 6 months into ownership and zero modifications. It has been looked at three times and no problem found.
