From what I read you need to disconnect the battery to do the maintenance treatment. Has that been your experience?

H4 was harder to find before so many went with H5. I chose that to have more CCAs. Definitely is an issue with the BMS and BCS. Ford knows but hasn’t admitted it publicly.

H4 will drop in, H5 requires easy modifications and still looks stock. Not sure an H6 would fit and look stock.

The plastic goes back in, and everything looks stock once put back together.

My brand new H5 AGM that I topped off, reset BMS, and waited is reading 12.25 in the morning. I haven’t even taken for a drive yet, but I don’t have faith this is going to fix whatever is draining the battery.

I installed an H5 AGM from Walmart today. Hoping for a few headache free years from deep sleep.

Installed the Walmart H5. I did remove the plastic around it and hammered the metal down. Fully charged it, reset the BMS, and now it is resting. Hopefully I’ll get at least three good years out of it. Such a PITA that Ford doesn’t fix this problem.

I too put mine on about once a week. I haven’t swapped it yet but it’s not holding a charge as poor as it was before. Sadly it’s much worse.

I installed the EGRs a few weeks back and I’m a fan. I don’t like the laser etched logo but I can deal with it.

Has anyone installed the H5 AGM from Costco? Looking to see if it fits and vent tube can connect just fine. I looked at it tonight and saw a hole that looks like it is for the vent but wasn’t sure. Does a cap come off the hole so it works correctly?

If you have to walk over to toggle it on then why bother remote start?

My battery seems to have just died this morning when I went to start it. It is on the charger now but we'll see what happens. I've been dealing with Deep Sleep since 6 months into ownership and zero modifications. It has been looked at three times and no problem found.

I think mine just died this morning. I've been chronicling my issues all throughout this forum. A new battery is just kicking the can down the road.
