  1. New Maverick Hybrid my 1400 mile road trip review

Nice write up, and sync's with my own thoughts as well. I am hearing more road (tire) noise than wind noise. The inside door handle is in a weird location. There is another thread on the forum where someone got roasted hard for saying that, but it is true. It is further forward than other...
  2. New Maverick Hybrid my 1400 mile road trip review

Ha! That's one of the things I love about this forum, you learn something every day! I had no idea the center mirror could be moved up. Thanks!
  3. Maverick Vs Ranger Gen 6 - Will there be a hybrid option ????

The new Ranger is way too big, so that would be a no from me. I *might* consider changing my Ecoboost Mav for a plug-in hybrid AWD Mav if they make one (and after a few years of production). Not interested in electric-only for the foreseeable future.
  4. People who had a Ranger before the Maverick

My last three vehicles have all been 1999-2011 Rangers, covering about 15 years. I really like the older Ranger and wanted something comparable in size. Absolutely no interest in the huge beast they call a Ranger today. I just transitioned from a 2011 Ranger XLT extended cab 4x4 with the 4.0...
  5. That's a slam dunk!

I wonder if the Bronco one would fit. $76! https://www.amazon.com/Security-Organizer-Password-Interior-Accessories/dp/B0BHYPGT98/

A similar set on my 2011 Ford Ranger are 12 years and still going...
  8. Are RokBlokz the way to go for mud flaps that won't damage paint?

That makes my $52 set an incredible deal at 20 cents per week!!!

  10. Comparison photo: old Ranger vs. new Maverick

The 4x4 is a couple of inches wider: https://www.ford-trucks.com/specs/2011-2/2011-ranger-specifications/
  11. Comparison photo: old Ranger vs. new Maverick

Probably would not surprise you that the first thing I bought for the Mav was the rear seat dog cover... :-)
  12. Problem putting rear seat back down

Mine was a little stiff at first, but got easier after doing it a few times.
  13. Comparison photo: old Ranger vs. new Maverick

It is a difficult comparison because the Maverick only comes in a 4 door crew cab, and my 2011 Ranger XLT was an extended cab 4x4. In one sense, there is more space inside the Mav cab, but in another sense I feel like I had more storage space in the Ranger cab since I could stack things behind...
  14. Comparison photo: old Ranger vs. new Maverick

The reason I didn't buy a new Ranger is that they made them bigger again! So glad the Maverick came out! Dimensions are fairly close to my 2011 Ranger.
  15. Comparison photo: old Ranger vs. new Maverick

Here is my 2011 Ranger XLT and 2023 Maverick Lariat:
  16. Problem putting rear seat back down

It locks in the up position. You need to pull the handle that releases it to lower it again.
  17. 2023 Maverick TRAILER TOW RECALL Advance Notice (11/23/22 - 2/10/23 Production Vehicles)

It was already corrected in the assembly process. My Lariat w/ 4k was built the week after the recall notice date range and does not have the issue.
  18. 2023 Maverick TRAILER TOW RECALL Advance Notice (11/23/22 - 2/10/23 Production Vehicles)

Testers are cheap if anyone wants to verify their truck wiring works: https://www.amazon.com/CURT-58260-Trailer-Wiring-Vehicle/dp/B0049CGIRO/ https://www.amazon.com/MaxxHaul-50155-Trailer-Wiring-Tester/dp/B07QX2L7K5/
  19. 2023 Maverick TRAILER TOW RECALL Advance Notice (11/23/22 - 2/10/23 Production Vehicles)

I can confirm that my 4k equipped Lariat built the week after that timeframe does not have this problem (verified with a trailer wiring tester plugged into the 4 pin plug, haven't hooked it up to an actual trailer yet). EDIT: I've since hauled a trailer a few times. No issue with the lights...
