I posted a picture of that area on the first page. No hole that I can see, and no cloth rip chord like others have mentioned for the hybrid. It is puzzling, for sure! :-)

It was in the vehicle when it came off the car carrier before the dealer processed it. That doesn't mean it wasn't erroneously included... :-)

Yes, it is just a wiring harness. There is an indentation there for programming/reprogramming more FOBs.
