  1. Soon to be NEW Maverick Owner!

I've had pickups before...no need for 20+ years but saw the Maverick and liked what I saw. I do wood project also...Last vehicle was a Honda Element, removable rear seats and front fold down seats and I could haul 10' 2x4's or trim....The Honda Element can carry way more lumber than the Maverick...
  2. New wipers from dealer

There's a video on internet for "Bosch" installation. Secret is to use a flat head screwdriver to pry off the clip from the sides that comes preinstalled then replace with clip # 4. (I could not get it off without Flathead screw driver to pry the clip off). 5-10 minutes to replace clip. 1...
  3. New wipers from dealer

OE - Slip # 4 I've used Bosch for years and longest lasting wipers I have found....and work really well. When I buy again, I'll try the 20" on right/passenger side. New wipers had a huge difference in clearing the windshield in rain.
  4. New wipers from dealer

Just installed Bosch - Maverick manual said 22 left 21 right side. But right/passenger side looks a little long. Been using Bosch for several years....but not cheap...$73 for left and right 22/21. Most auto parts stores sell them individually since left and right are different lengths for a lot...
  5. engine cover

A friend added an engine cover to soon find out some very minor work, something like checking or adjusting removing the cover there's an extra charge for cover removal. I passed on the cover. My motorcycle engine has a cover and requires 1/2 hour of billable labor to remove and replace the cover.
  6. Post Your Other Rides / Vehicles

I was in an Uber car last year headed to the airport and had 2 hrs to waste. So, asked the driver to take me by something interesting on the way to the airport. He laughed and took me by the old Studebaker main plant in South Bend. Shocked that it is still standing, empty but...still...
  7. Post Your Other Rides / Vehicles

I have a Cooper S also and I agree, they are a blast to drive on the twisties.
  8. Post Your Other Rides / Vehicles

Just four or five of my favorite rides. 1. The Porsche Cayman S is fun but still not a 911, but the PDK transmission is most impressive. 2. Austin-Healey Mark III-3000 (1967)- still think it was one of the most beautiful cars ever made, in-line 6 cylinder was very quick...hated to sale but...
  9. Car locked me out with keys inside

The worst part of keys getting locked in car is so many say it can not happen. I have the keypad on the door pillow so it is not a big deal....also my dealer had been locked out of my Maverick and had to call me to get my pass code to get in. My dealer acknowledges early 2022 Mavericks had the...
  10. Endless repeated Hybrid failures have finally broken me

What he said. "Some vehicles are just lemons unfortunately. Dump it and move on from the frustration" My 2022 (delivered 12-20-2021) has had 1 very, very minor dash cable issued....Fixed in 5 minutes...zero issues in almost 3 years.....3 recalls that were time consuming but always had an uber...
  11. Axle Replaced (barely) Under Warranty...but games played on paperwork?

You may not be paranoid....I received the "half-shaft failure" letter today (10/03/25). As I read the letter it suggest the half-shaft failure is only covered thru the standard warranty=3yr 50K. But if you have the half-shaft inspected NOW and it has the issue it will be repaired under...
  12. Disappointed in this tonneau cover

Also bought off Ebay for $210 Tri-Fold Gater brand...and 3 yrs old, no leaks, zero complaints. My same tonneau cover is now on AliExpress for $130. The majority of tonneaus off the internet are made in Asia. Mine still looks like the day I installed it. If people have a tonneau parked...
  13. Good-Great Tires for Hybrids: Hankook Kinergy

You gave good advice on the Hankook but found a good price on Michelin Defenders. After 3 weeks and a couple hundred miles I checked my MILEAGE on the Michelin's and did lose about 2 miles per gallon in fuel efficiency. Went from 43.7 mpg to 41.4 mpg. The taller tread is most likely the case...
  14. BUYING MY 1st MAVERICK | Advice Welcome!

One of the worst features of the Maverick is lack of weatherproofing, etc underneath the wheel wells. My next Maverick will go into a local shop with a lift to spray some type of weather/water/dust proofing of that area.
  15. 2025 XL paint problem

The Maverick has a very thin paint job...Most complaints are about the hood. I clay-bared entire truck...easy to do, except hood and roof, and the hood stood out as the worst area. Did a ceramic coating and hood did not come out as good as the rest of the truck. Thin paint, but remember it...
  16. GREAT DEALS @ GRANGER MOTORS- 3% BELOW INVOICE PRICE ON 2026 FORD MAVERICK ORDERS!

I'd call to ask. When I bought July 30, 2021 there was a bullpen of 1/2 dozen sales reps...sometimes emails get ignored.
  17. Buck Rock Jeep Trail Camping

Last time I was there a Forest Ranger pulled up to my campsite and told me I had to move...they were having serious problems with aggressive Black Bears. I would have never thought that that area had BEARS.
  18. GREAT DEALS @ GRANGER MOTORS- 3% BELOW INVOICE PRICE ON 2026 FORD MAVERICK ORDERS!

Glad to: Great dealer - zero hassles.... Chapman Ford of Horsham 1100 Easton Road Horsham, PA 19044 215-674-3600 For you: probably 820 miles and 12-13 hours as a mini-vacation. I'll most likely buy my next MAVERICK there. They picked me up at the Philly airport via Uber and had me on the...
  19. GREAT DEALS @ GRANGER MOTORS- 3% BELOW INVOICE PRICE ON 2026 FORD MAVERICK ORDERS!

I don't blame dealers for a deposit...my order was thru another dealer with below Invoice price and Dealer said a number of people (with no deposit) were ordering multiple Mavericks (2, 3, or 4) with different colors, Eco, Hybrid or options and fully knew they would only take ONE of them....some...
  20. My Totally Boring Two Year Report.

I'd be concerned about transmission...if under warranty I'd check asap or at least report it to dealership.
