Finally got all my parts in! Time to see if how this works on an Ecoboost XL without the EBB. Also I am going to use the Escape CCM first to see if works on the Maverick. 🤞🤞
Later this year yes, but first I am going to see how it behaves with the regular booster and I also want to use an escape booster since they are much cheaper. It’s going to require rerouting brake lines and either extending the abs connector or rerouting it if it’s long enough.
short answer is yes. But the wiring does not exist Take a look at the DIY forum where’s there’s a good write up about adding it to a Hybrid XLT lux. I will be retrofitting the Adaptive to an Ecoboost XL in the next week or so since all my parts have come in now.
Nope, I am going to attempt without it for now to see what happens and how it behaves. I wouldn’t mind having lane centering at the very least while I gather the parts for the full retrofit which I will be doing 100%.
I’ve done this sort of thing already just not on a brand new vehicle that I...
After digging for a bit on these part numbers. It looks like for the MY2022 Escapes, the digital dash has been added to the SE models and SEL models to join the Titanium one that has had it since 2020. I think alot of these part numbers are from newers ones.
*I have been corrected below*
Perfect, thanks! And no I have an Ecoboost.
I actually have a pretty easy method, but the biggest thing was figuring out the part numbers. I will have a post on how to source one once I complete the list and once I get a 2nd or 3rd one for myself before the price gets driven up.
So far what I...
What version of Forscan are you using? I was using 2.3.47 from their download section and didn't have any problems connecting to the IPC, I had loaded my as-built into it and those errors went away. I wonder if they added anything new to the version you are using.
By chance, do you have photos...
For bolts #1 and #2, those are the stock bolts that I used, they are super long. I don't have young children so I used those bolts. I don't think you would have an issue using these even if you did intend on having a car seat.
For bolts #3 and #4, I used sheet metal screws since the bracket...
quick update here:
So all available drive modes that exist on the digital cluster now work with no issues. I still can't get the traction control button to work since that is part of a different switch pack on the escape, so no fix there. The Intelligent AWD screen also doesn't exist on this...
I think I might be getting somewhere with this. I will check it in the morning when the sun comes to confirm the changes. But it seems to work with the dial not on Auto so hopefully it will work on auto once the sun is up.
no tow/haul mode as that interprets it’s as normal mode.
it does kick me out of deep snow/sand mode and gives Me drive mode not available on the cluster.
what’s works and how it’s correctly portrayed on the cluster:
normal
Eco
Sport
Slippery
what does not work:
Deep Snow/sand (once you...
forgot to add to my post. It’s a little hopeless, but definitely not impossible.
I got an XL with every intention of adding full ACC with stop/go at some point. Didn’t think I’d get started so soon though. Lol
Alright boys and girls. We have working drive modes now.
It looks like there is a translation difference between the IPC from an escape and the ABS from a maverick.
Posting the fix now and will elaborate in another post, my findings once I am back at my computer.
You need to have Normal...
It's a little hopeless, it will require an electric brake booster, a possible ABS wire harness(not sure if it will be a whole harness, partial harness or if we can extend the ABS harness to reach from the left side of the engine to the right) and running new brake lines. Of course there will...
