Theres a whole lot of fear mongering in this thread. Go to the DIY section, we have all this covered already, read it from start to finish. You are in a great position that you have a hybrid. Easiest one of them all to install it in, including the lane assistance stuff that you will need...
I think you can set it up to work for it's intended function, limiting speed, but that is NOT cruise control.
AFAIK, you would need switches for cruise or ACC and program it via forscan.
I'll check on this today, You don't get a "U0100: lost communication with PCM/ECM"? That's my only DTC I get from the cluster. I initially thought was related to the traction button, but it's not. It goes away when I plug in my old cluster.
This DTC has not caused a single issue though, I just...
When launching forscan and connecting, you need to scan for new modules by creating a new profile. When that pop up comes up don't use the old profile since that will only have a list of modules from whenever first did the profile.
Nope, I gave up. Since that button configuration does not exist on the escape there is not way to program it.
I honestly don’t intend on using it (I’ve only ever used it to do snow donuts). If I need traction disabled I just switch it to Sand/Snow mode and it does what it needs to do.
I did...
No errors at all on my cluster. But every once in a while I cannot turn on cruise until I cycle the key, I would say 1 in 30 tries, but I had also been having battery issues that got resolved this week and I have not had any issues turning it on at all. I use it daily, I average about 100-150...
I wouldn't say its required for Adaptive, but it's required for the Stop and Go feature of Adaptive. (Source, I installed Adaptive cruise into my Ecoboost XL)
It will be a hell of challenge for sure to swap to a Electric booster. I am planning on undertaking it to complete my Adaptive cruise...
I can confirm this works on the Escape digital cluster as well. It has this cool affect the on the speedometer to let you know if it's operating efficiently . The needle glows green until you start driving aggressively.
I also get a screen option to view my metrics.
I don't think 600 miles is attainable on an Ecoboost without really working for it and disturbing traffic. My highest Mpg in my Ecoboost AWD w/4k was 37mpg ( I do have bigger All terrains with heavy wheels so maybe i could of gotten better with stock wheels). It was hella work and involved a lot...
For the turn signals, I ended up using Matte Headlight Vinyl to darken my signals(Matte tint matched the black texture on my XL Grill). My lasfit LEDS where hella bright, they were lighting up the next block over. It also gave me that C shaped look that I wanted for my headlights.
Here's the part numbers for the batteries we get in the Mav. I think hybrid has a different 12v battery.
AGM, 760 CCA ,70 AH battery
Part #: BAGM48H6760
And the Enhance flooded one that failed on me. (Came stock in my truck. Early March 2022 build)
Part #: BHEF48H6
I just went through this this week. Ecoboost Mav with 25k miles.
I had been having issues with the battery needing to be jumped near daily for the last 2 months. For the first month I was getting Fordpass deep sleep messages after having been parked for 6-10 hours, but as the battery got worse...
This will work just fine. I had mine set up like this. Just make sure you select the correct switch part number in Forscan using plain text and you will be all set.
This all looks pretty good. It's pretty much what I paid for my all my parts.
For the CCM pigtail, I bought that exact one. You might need to waterproof the connector a bit(Clear silicone) though as I noticed on mine from the same vendor that the terminals are a little exposed on the backside...
Not any that I've noticed, I have 23k miles on my Mav with this wheel setup. Some tires will have a more aggressive tire pattern which can rub on the felt fender liners like the Toyos, but mine didn't. It is really close though.
When I go bigger I will probably grind the pinch weld and lift it...
I have 245/70/17 on mine on stock suspension and I do not rub. I think that same size with 2.5 lift would look pretty goofy. I want to go with bigger tires next time.
The issue would be getting the Maverick firmware onto the CCM from another model.
On my first attempt at adding adaptive, I was using a Ford Escape one. Forscan could not calibrate the sensor, it would hang at 100% and never calibrate. Their is also the issue of programming the vin into the CCM...
