Hey Y'all!
Just got done throwing together a quick video on replacing the steering wheel switches - It's a bit sloppy but I wanted to try my hand at throwing something together for those that like to follow along step by step. I know I've learned a lot from doing the same!
Hope this helps...
You're absolutely welcome and that looks great in the XLT!
With all the swaps I've been doing I've got a whole process down pat, could have a new wheel on one of these trucks in five minutes LOL
I also swapped the wiring harness but discovered after the fact that the euro airbag is...
So I hesitate to give hard advice on this - based on pictures, it looks like it -might- work? You'll need a clockspring too that provides the heater function, and possibly other parts. I also don't know how the steering wheel controls would work, since it appears these are the older style of...
Turns out that's apparently to build all five of the colors, though I haven't been able to find an easy way to "assemble" the parts I need for under $90 - it's the shipping (shipping costs from a bunch of places when you're ordering little pieces)
I gotta say, bang up job you did on these - and thanks so much for saving me from that sticker shock! LOL
now $231 for five Mavericks? Looks like we've got ourselves a proper budget truck once again!
Man, talk about a range of emotions:
1. Oh cool, I'd totally build that!
2. Okay gotta order the parts separately, no sweat, let me just
3.
4. I like the pictures enough I guess
But... They probably already know? It's a Toyota forum?
I think our good man Ron here was specifically saying "if you're being asked to pay over $30k for a $23k truck, and you're really wanting a truck, they've got this option that'll likely hold significant value instead of making $5k...
I'm definitely with you on the three you've listed - absolutely will be doing an inverter at some point and I'll get bedliner done after I've already scratched up the bed a little bit (since you have to scuff it up anyway for lining)
Leather seating is a nice to have, but like the bedliner I'll...
It hasn't been a ton, luckily! Just happens to be one of those things that doesn't make a lick of sense to me, and kinda feels elitist.
So far I've hacked in cruise control, added a Fiesta ST leather steering wheel, activated Traffic Sign Recognition with the built-in camera, replaced the...
If I understand it correctly, it uses the electronic brake booster to slow the vehicle faster than rolling resistance will, and smoother than the rough activation of something like the Emergency Braking feature (or whatever it's called)
It's highly likely that, given the elec brake booster...
I lucked out - I just wanted a new vehicle that I could make my own, the Maverick XL ticked the boxes and my neighborhood dealership had one on the lot. I didn't choose my color or the options, I just went for it before I lost the chance. I know how impossibly rough it must be to have the string...
Uh oh...
Oh no, don't tell me that! That means I'm probably the closest to spending "thousands" at about $700 all in ATM LOL
But that's including stuff that's yet to come 😏
They are removable, thank goodness! They just look like the plastic underneath so I totally get why you would think that.
I was originally looking to swap with an XLT owner to increase visibility in that space (it's pretty dark even with the light) but it's since grown on me a lot. I love how...
Hey RobChills, it's your manager/VP at that one company we both work at, gonna have to ask you to start coming in again. We're also gonna have to ask you to bring an open-bedded vehicle, so if you had a Pacifica or something that's not gonna work. It'll make sense when you get here.
Thanks for...
Oh man, sign me right up. That's -good-.
I just thought it was funny to find the Escape wore the name at one point, then years later, the Maverick is born again... On the Escape platform. LOL
