  1. Bagged Maverick build gets new mods for SEMA 2022

There are truck beds that flex their muscles and truck beds that bulge their muscles. This is the latter.
  2. Cheap XLT orange accent steering wheel cover

Looks good. How long to install?
  3. Pennsylvania 2022 Maverick XLT Hybrid w/ Options $34,000

@bkowa092 Actually thanks for posting here. Most of us with 23 orders don't know how long we'll be waiting and I'm sure some of us would prefer to pay a small premium to avoid that altogether if all the other details work out.
  4. Mavericks now for rent at U-Haul

If you coordinate in the appropriate regional forum you could probably share a 24 hour period for test driving and get it done for under $10 ea. Unfortunately after clicking "select" I can't find any dates where it's actually available. So.... if there was any question whether or not it's...
  5. Mavericks now for rent at U-Haul

Having ordered a 23 and never even seen a Maverick I'd pay $20 for a test drive just to decide what do to for the next year or so.
  6. ⚠️ 2023 MAVERICK BUILD & PRICE SITE IS UP‼️ Share Your Build Here

Hmmm... I've been through the 2022 version enough times to notice that the pop-up message about constraints has disappeared. If not for the lists of constrained items dealers have shared I might have been tempted to read into that.
  7. Spray in bedliner quality issues

Hang on a second... apologies for going off topic for a moment but am I seeing... um... do the covers of the wheel wells inside the flexbed happen to rise to the same height as that pallet on a fully flat tailgate? It sure looks like whatever you're hauling there is riding partially on the...
  8. Consumer Reports 2022 Maverick Hybrid Review & Ranking [September Issue]

Nope. It's a Consumer Reports thing: Using their method, they frequently see measurements that appear "flipped" with hybrids: I don't know all the details but we noticed this phenomenon a while back and it's pretty consistent across CR reviews of hybrid vehicles.
  9. COVP no more?

FWIW my dealer told me COVP is still required for their Maverick orders and if I got the confirmed email from Ford that means Ford accepted it. Sounds like - to state the obvious - there has been some confusion this year.
  10. 2023 Maverick Retail Order Banks Closing Next Week + Tremor Package Ordering Starts Tomorrow (9/17)

Probably the dealership's delay and not Ford's. My dealer put mine in while on a call with me. E-mail arrived 15 mins later. Longest my dealer claims to have seen is about 90 mins.
  11. Email received after 23 order?

Finalized preview sheet with dealer today over the phone and was told they would put in the order immediately after the call. E-mail from Ford (via reply <at> t.email-ford.com) arrived 15 mins later.
  12. Best trim/seating for active dog?

Need advice: Ordering a 23 but I've never owned a Ford and I know nothing about their seating materials. I'll use covers for seats and door panels but those will be in and out periodically and my dog will get around them at some point. Are the materials the same for XL and XLT or does...
  13. Cranking time exceeded?

Stumbled across this in the user manual and I confess, I'm unfamiliar with this feature. Anyone experienced the "starting time limit"? Know what it's for or what it does? P. 163 in manual reads...
  14. Maverick or midsize hybrid SUV? (2023 Kia Sportage) What has more cargo space?

Would love to hear more comparisons in this category. I'm not a truck guy and came across the Maverick while looking for a SUV. Eventually landed on the truck for two reasons: price and flexibility. Some things I don't think have been mentioned yet: The Maverick max load is about 500 lbs...
  15. Is Ford Mispricing the Maverick on Purpose?

Another possibility that may help keep prices low without losing profitability is that Ford is using the Maverick to test much lower ad spending. Jim Farley was recently quoted saying "We spend $500 to $600 per vehicle on public advertising. Get rid of all of it." While there has been some...
