Personally I think there's a lot of overreacting happening based on very little info. The first recall in July 2022 was based on something like 23 possible reports of engine bay fire out of 100,000 units. I'd speculate that they have to cast a wide net because they don't have a great way to...
The CCM sensor itself is very rigidly mounted to the bracket which screws directly into existing holes behind the air deflector. The part which is sort of wedged in is the cosmetic cover only. It's tapered on all sides and has pegs on the bottom so if you cut out just enough space it'll be...
If you're comfortable cutting and modifying the existing grill and air deflector, then your cost will definitely be under $630 unless you have to buy specific tools. Soldering iron, heat gun, crimpers, etc. are all useful, but there are many ways to accomplish the wiring.
I wonder if the Lariat...
I got it working on my Maverick. It took me almost a full day to do the hardware and maybe an hour this morning to do the programming.

One of my greatest pet peeves is when you ask someone two questions via email and they only answer the first one. What's even more infuriating about this response is that they didn't answer either question.
The remote start option is just the key fob. Every maverick can be remote started with the app. I think the fob was included on luxury packages for 2022 but separate for 2023.
I know this is an old comment, but do you have any pics of your sunfish loaded up? I was looking at a 12' Barnett Butterfly and was wondering about hauling it with the bed extender.
I have a 50 mile commute 3 days/week and I've started taking the old highway that parallels the interstate for a large portion of it. It's a few minutes slower but my MPG goes up from like 32 to 38 average. I too am ruled by the blue bar.
So I did the install on my hybrid XLT and it's working great. I started by pulling the climate control panel off and tapping the front speakers right out of the head unit. According to a diagram I saw in another thread the LF+ is blue, LF- is gray-brown, RF+ is yellow-orange, and RF- is...
