I'm doing the install this weekend, but watching your video, I noticed you connected the ground to the negative post on the battery. The manual says to avoid this since it will bypass the current measuring shunt and will affect the truck's ability to monitor the 12v battery discharge and health...
Do you drive on the highway a lot? I assume the oil life is calculated based on engine hours and workload mainly, so people who spend a lot of time at 75mph will probably need oil more often than people that just cruise around town in electric mode.
You'd need a cap that seals to the cab. I thought most of them had their own window on the front. I would also be concerned about carbon monoxide given that the exhaust is right behind the bed.
I think he's referring to the blue outline which is overlaid on the white "hybrid" mode bar. I've seen it pop up sometimes, but I don't know what it means specifically either. I assume it's the level of battery power being used in addition to the motor, or the level you would have to drop power...

Ordered a Maverick XLT Hybrid in September 2022 with Ray Reeves. Delivered in April 2023. The paperwork was right on the first go with price protection, no markup, no dealer options, and they beat my...
I'm speculating, but I would guess in the case of a really bad failure, the electrical or mechanical systems that open the shutters could also be inoperable.
There's no "leak" to fix. The original recall was done to reduce fire risk in case of "engine block or oil pan breach" allowing vapors to collect near the exhaust. If your block or pan are breached, the truck is no longer operable. It makes perfect sense to me that increasing ventilation in that...
The only place you'll see your blend date is on the window sticker. This is just the date where all the parts converge for that truck to go through final assembly, but it is also an estimate and many factors can change when the truck is actually done and sent out for shipping. The tracker won't...
I think it has more to do with being a new vehicle sharing a platform and assembly line with Bronco Sport. They may have not expected such demand at the time that they made the decision to produce it on the same line in Mexico, and so it was lower risk to produce the Maverick (with low MSRP and...
Worth noting:
"Hyundai has reports of one fire and five heat damage incidents with no injuries. Kia has no reports of fires or injuries."
Seems like a minuscule risk if it's 1 out of 571,000. Good to see them addressing it, though, since the consequences could be severe. It also sounds like...
That's from last year. It looks like the most recent one is related to a fire risk from the tow hitch harness/computer. It's on the front page of APnews.com.
