Eh, there are shiny, barely utilized vehicles of every imaginable type everywhere. Always has been, always will be. The only way a Maverick replaces an F150 is if someone literally replaces an F150 with a Maverick to fit their needs/wants.
A suburbanite cosplay cowboy in a daily driven F150 is...
I just donāt think one replaces the other - unless we are talking just transportation. Above is kind of like saying a Miata is better because its cheaper than a 911 or maybe a Wen track saw is better than a Festool one. All depends on your needs and viewpoint.
FWIW, I saved the price of my...
If its not about money, obviously the F150 is much much nicer.
I just wanted to give the Maverick a shot after more than 20 years of daily driving F150ās.
No expert here but pretty sure the outer shock mount has the wrong pivot point for either a push or pull rod set-up. Canāt really tell what is a mount and what is a bell crank.
I was being sarcastic with my first question.
Put some electrical or plastic tape on them and try it out?
The aftermarket set that I bought states in the installation instructions that they can be painted - donāt know if OEMās are the same.
Jeez, this awful post made me go back and check and I was off a few weeks. Re-reading the post and all I can picture is the French taunter from Monty Python.
-Lightning was actually 5 months with Mar. ā22 build and Aug. ā22 deliver.
-F150 and the 3 Mavericks were all Sept ā22 build with Jan &...
Pretty sure it is because its much better for Fordās margin, customers get what they really want & return and the market would be even worse if the dealers held every build in their hands.
I am glad there is a dealer parking lot full of fleet trucks, as that is a good indicator that production is cranking along better than it had been in the past. That photo of all those Mavericks should make people happy to see it.
Itās common knowledge that the hybrid trucks are just going to...
No, I mentioned that I understand your point and it seems like you really need your truck. Ford doesnāt really want angry customers that are pissed because they canāt yet give their money to them and start wearing out their new vehicles that will need to be maintained/repaired/replaced.
Baldboy,
Come to think of it, maybe your dealer or order spec is holding up your build?
I ordered a Ford Lightning, a ā23 F150 and 3 Ecoboost Mavericks over the past twelve months and each of them came in within 3-4 months of placing the orders.
