I picked up my Lightning Lariat this past August and ordered a ā23 Maverick and a ā23 F150 after I flipped the Lightning.
The Lightning was an amazing machine for sure, just not right for me due to ācurrentā infrastructure.
The Maverick is a complete sh!tbox compared to the ā23 F150, but I still...
Iām in CT too and my self installed Ford liner did not peel away at the front due to the snow today and it has seen high interstate speeds since install as well.
Please share/warn us what dealer this was that āservicedā you.
The installation of that bed liner could be used as evidence that drug use on the job is a bad thing. The guy barely showed up for work and you got charged for the whole guy. Seriously, that technician had to be high. š (ā¦or too lazy or inept to qualify for continued gainful employment)
Did...
Ha!
I had a 1979 wagon in brown with white wagon wheels and not nearly as nice as this one I found a photo of online. Amazingly ugly, but it was a tiny tank that could go anywhere in any weather.ā¦..very slowly With less than 70hp.
If you drove and used your vehicle in the situations and job sites that I do, youād likely want them too. Cheap extra measure of safety is all it is really and I think it is a stupid cheap out on Fordās part to exclude them on the model/package Maverick I have.
Thanks all.
Expecting to have time this weekend to take a look at things and so far it seems pretty straightforward. Really just need to track down the right wire for the reverse lights.
Adding aftermarket reverse / backup sensors. Can I use the aux. power connectors near the tailgate to power the system? I assume it is switched and always powered when the truck is running.
Also, anyone know if it is better to tap into the reverse light wire at the tail light or the wire from...
I have a set of Eibach lift springs on order and hope to have them installed in the next week or two.
There have been plenty of posts here already with lift springs or kits installed though.
I think the steel braces for the rear guards that Ford includes are a good idea and they have been having decent discounts on their accessories site for a while now - believe they cost me only $10-20 more than those in this thread. If you have Ford points, even better.
You have made valid points that I agree with - heck, Iāve been daily driving F150ās for over 2 decades and bought a Maverick this time around out of my own curiosity. I donāt think any of that changes the accuracy of my earlier postā¦if my thoughts/opinions are actually accurate. š
If the F Series didnāt sell in the huge numbers that it does, the Maverick wouldnāt exist in the U.S. Corporations are about making a profit and the hybrid Maverick lets Ford keep more of it with tax/penalty offsets. If they need more offsets, theyāll make more hybrids.
