  1. Maverick vs Lightning

I picked up my Lightning Lariat this past August and ordered a ā€˜23 Maverick and a ā€˜23 F150 after I flipped the Lightning. The Lightning was an amazing machine for sure, just not right for me due to ā€œcurrentā€œ infrastructure. The Maverick is a complete sh!tbox compared to the ā€˜23 F150, but I still...
  2. Is there a LOW GAS Light Indicator on the dashboard for Ford Maverick Hybrid XL or XLT?

Yes. We have 3 first generation Miatas and I dont believe any of them have a fuel warning light.
  3. Ford accessory mess....

Stamford Ford / Lincoln. Noted. šŸ‘
  4. Ford accessory mess....

I’m in CT too and my self installed Ford liner did not peel away at the front due to the snow today and it has seen high interstate speeds since install as well. Please share/warn us what dealer this was that ā€œservicedā€ you.
  5. Ford accessory mess....

The installation of that bed liner could be used as evidence that drug use on the job is a bad thing. The guy barely showed up for work and you got charged for the whole guy. Seriously, that technician had to be high. šŸ˜‚ (…or too lazy or inept to qualify for continued gainful employment) Did...
  6. Ugliest of the Ugly… what’s yours?

Ha! I had a 1979 wagon in brown with white wagon wheels and not nearly as nice as this one I found a photo of online. Amazingly ugly, but it was a tiny tank that could go anywhere in any weather.…..very slowly With less than 70hp.
  7. Adding backup sensors and wiring question.

If you drove and used your vehicle in the situations and job sites that I do, you’d likely want them too. Cheap extra measure of safety is all it is really and I think it is a stupid cheap out on Ford’s part to exclude them on the model/package Maverick I have.
  8. Adding backup sensors and wiring question.

Thanks all. Expecting to have time this weekend to take a look at things and so far it seems pretty straightforward. Really just need to track down the right wire for the reverse lights.
  9. longest lasting summer tire?

Simple, powerful thing that I was taught: You will never regret buying the best.
  10. Adding backup sensors and wiring question.

I got the EchoMaster Pro (PS-TRUCK-M) kit. We have had dozens of them installed on our fleet vehicles at work and they seem to be working out well.
  11. Adding backup sensors and wiring question.

Adding aftermarket reverse / backup sensors. Can I use the aux. power connectors near the tailgate to power the system? I assume it is switched and always powered when the truck is running. Also, anyone know if it is better to tap into the reverse light wire at the tail light or the wire from...
  12. longest lasting summer tire?

Hard to argue with that one! I’ve had a few sets of them
  13. 265/70/17 tires, bronze wheels, other goodies installed on Hybrid Maverick

Damn that is a big tire for these little trucks! I wouldn’t have guessed you could make that work. šŸ‘
  14. 2” lift -- advice, pros and cons?

I have a set of Eibach lift springs on order and hope to have them installed in the next week or two. There have been plenty of posts here already with lift springs or kits installed though.
  15. Mud Flaps Installed

I think the steel braces for the rear guards that Ford includes are a good idea and they have been having decent discounts on their accessories site for a while now - believe they cost me only $10-20 more than those in this thread. If you have Ford points, even better.
  16. 2.0 w/ AWD only exists to...

You have made valid points that I agree with - heck, I’ve been daily driving F150’s for over 2 decades and bought a Maverick this time around out of my own curiosity. I don’t think any of that changes the accuracy of my earlier post…if my thoughts/opinions are actually accurate. šŸ‘
  17. 2.0 w/ AWD only exists to...

If the F Series didn’t sell in the huge numbers that it does, the Maverick wouldn’t exist in the U.S. Corporations are about making a profit and the hybrid Maverick lets Ford keep more of it with tax/penalty offsets. If they need more offsets, they’ll make more hybrids.
  18. Area 51 Lariat Build w/ Yellow Bilsteins, red rear lower arms, painted brakes, bed rack, aftermarket wheels

Is there any info that Bilstein is working on shocks or struts for our trucks?
