I wouldn't sweat it
I have basically the same 5x10 lawn trailer and I have pulled it behind my '22 Mav hybrid many, many times loaded down with lawn equipment, scrap for the junkyard, you name it
Drove it loaded down with everything that would fit on it including the mower from central Florida...
My 2022 Maverick locks and unlocks itself a bunch of times any time I wash the car and happen to hit the keypad on the door frame with water from the hose. My wife's 2020 Explorer has always done the same thing. Even with the hose on "shower" it will sometimes lock or unlock it
They make a shiny blue duct tape that would match the color a little better than the painters tape - for less than 10 bucks you could make a whole fleet of the blue mavs look better...
Not sure if it's really a trick, but I kick mine into EV on any downslope or flat terrain (when doing under 60 mph) by abruptly letting off the gas pedal then right back on. That throws it into EV mode and then I drive as long as I can like that feathering the throttle to keep in EV mode...
I have a 22 xlt and I'm already on my second windshield, and this one has a crack on both ends from rock chipsso I'll be replacing it at some point
This is the first vehicle I've ever had to replace a windshield on and I've owned over a dozen
Of course being in South Carolina doesn't help the...
Congrats! I bought my 2022 XLT Hybrid from Frank Uria at Lakeland Ford a couple of years ago, he gave me a great deal. I highly recommend the dealership if you're in the central Florida area
My 2022 XLT Hybrid does this daily on my commute. It's a long (85 mile) commute each way and I've noticed it doing it a couple times during the drive every day but never thought too much about it. It doesn't seem to do anything other than blow out harder for a minute then it reverts back to the...

I bought this one a little over a year ago and it's been good so far - yes it does have cheap plastic latches. It does work well and keep my stuff dry though and it's only around 400 bucks
I don't consider myself a "Ford guy", but I do happen to currently have a 2022 Maverick and a 2020 Explorer and both have been great so far. I have over 20k miles on the Maverick hybrid with no issues. The Explorer replaced a 2018 Explorer that we also had no issues with. That one replaced a...
I live in mildly hilly South Carolina and my commute is mostly truck routes with 60 mph speed limit. I use cruise control as often as possible, and on any flat stretch or slight downslope I click the cruise button down 2 mph quickly which will normally throw it into EV mode, then quickly click...
One scary thing can happen to the Ford shift knob - not just the Maverick but any Ford
Once on a busy highway at high speed I managed to shift the car into neutral when I put my soda bottle back into the cup holder and apparently brushed the shift knob with the bottom of the bottle.
I was in...
I've towed and hauled many times with my Maverick Hybrid - once I had 800# of bagged stone in my lawn trailer and 800# in the bed of the truck that I towed/hauled home from Home Depot
Towed the same lawn trailer from Florida to South Carolina full of household items and the bed of the truck was...
It still looks great, keeps my stuff dry and I use the truck daily out in the weather at a jobsite
Release handles work fine, they've never come loose and the seals do a good job keeping water out - the cargo net kind of blocks the shot a little but you get the idea
The corner sticks out a...
I went with the Smartliners front and rear for my hybrid - had to wait until they had a shipment in but it was worth the wait. Good price and they look great, fit perfectly and come way up the sides and behind the pedals
I got Smartliners for front and rear, they're a perfect fit and come way up the sides and under the gas pedal. I think I paid like 129.00 for the set and they're back in stock for now
I already had them in my wife's Explorer so I jumped on them for my Maverick Hybrid when they became available
