I see a lot of threads on this site about different bed covers, but none focusing only on Maverick Hard TRI-Fold on a budget!

Actual Maverick Tri-Fold Hard Covers, for less than $550, that you actually have, or have seen on an actual Maverick.

I know this is a big ask, but I'm sure many of you have great insight to this topic.

Let us know what Brand you are sharing and try to comment/answer as many of these 7 questions/criteria about your Bed Cover........

1. Does it fit well.......nothing sticking out at the back corners on a Maverick!
2. What type of finish?......Matte, Glossy, etc
3. What is the exterior Texture?.......Frog bumpy finish, Smooth Finish, etc.
4. Is it easy to clean?
5. Do you know what the warranty is?
6. Do you know the "load capacity" pressure weight?.......Can you stand on it?
7. Rating on a "1 - 10" scale of your satisfaction. ( 1 = Poor, 10 = Outstanding )

I know this isn't adding any info to your list but I gotta say, I really hate the plastic latches all these cheap trifolds use. One, I don't trust the longevity of them, and two, I'd hate to have to walk around the truck twice just to unlatch all the panels. Probably not an issue for someone who rarely uses the full length of the bed, but for me, I'd pay more for the models that have a cable that unlocks the whole thing.

There are several hard tri-fold on ebay for the $360 range here is an example:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/364603417778 Several other options will show up below the one you are looking at. Some have built in lights, different weight capacity, etc. but all very similar.

I prefer the tri-fold because they do not have side rails and you can remove them completely very easily.

I bought this one a little over a year ago and it's been good so far - yes it does have cheap plastic latches. It does work well and keep my stuff dry though and it's only around 400 bucks

I bought mine off eBay for $350.00 and it’s working good for me. Not watertight but manageable . Aluminum honeycomb material that is textured gloss black. Cleans easy 1 year warranty. I have had mine for 6 months and 10,000 miles with no issues. Not sure if load limits but I wouldn’t stand on it but I have set some relatively heavy items on it from time to time. Has built in LED lights. I think for the money it’s good.

7. Rating on a "1 - 10" scale of your satisfaction. 9 - The lights get activated when storing items causing the their batteries to die. Other than that great deal, well construted and doesn't leak

. Only time will tell on the finish, but could easy be repainted since it has a aluminum skin.

This is an average price. You will pay more for things like, low profile and covers that flip all the way up. I would definitely look for a cover that allows you to use the maximum amount of bed space. You will need it. Good luck.

Just so you know all of the cheap tri fold hard cover the last panel never folds up against rear window killing off a lot of space in the bed. YES you can remove the whole cover when you need the space but what a PITA. The only one I know of that can fold all panels and is about 500 is made in Canada BUT don't ship to usa. If that last panel not folding is okay then go for it.
