Go over to Maxzina's Face Book site, Maxzina Maverick Accessories. My compatriot, the owner/builder of the Tonka Maverick, posted his mod within the last week.
These are a more recent ratchet strap intended to fit Maxzina’s rail system. There is a mod out there to modify them to fit the OEM rails. It uses Maxzina’s mounting bracket reather than having to fabricate one as I did.
While I have a numberof Maxzina products incorporated in my build, I recommend them all. When it comes to bed dividers, I recommend Mabett’s. Without any modificaation it slides along the length of the rails. With a simple mod, the divider can be moved, flipped, and secured without tools.. It...
I too am a fan of Maxzina’s self retracting ratchet straps. As designed, the tie downs are fixed in the upper corners at the foot of the bed. I wanted more flexibility in using them to assist in securing oversized cargo. My intent was to mod the tie downs incorporating a fabricated bracket...
Earlier in this thread, I posted photos of my truck bed.. Since then, it has been subject to numerous additions and mods. Mabett's and Maxzina's product lines are my go to sources for much of what I do with my Maverick. I installed Mabett’s sliding bed divider some time ago. Since my Maverick...
Previously, I mentioned using Molle seat back panels in my Maverick. One is reserved for first aid supplies and equipment. Since this discussion has turned in that direction, I thought I would throw out another of my packing lists.

The last time I responded to a similar posting, I was labeled a boy scout or survivalist. I’m neither. With my past experience of road travel through Africa during three assignments, I have learned of a number of items that would make my wife and I more comfortable in the circumstance where...
I thought I would share the comments I provided Ryan and Kathy at Mabett related to their front-hanging trash bin:
I suggest a better product could be obtained by retaining the current item’s footprint, but changing the angle of the top to be parallel with the cabin floor rather than sloped...
I have always maintained a minimal tool kit for roadside emergencies in each of my vehicles. Usually, that has meant a canvas tool bag thrown into a corner of the trunk. I had a similar set up for my Maverick until recently.
Harbor Freight has introduced an item that that I welcomed to...
The hip is coming along, beginning the transition from a walker to a cane. The other complications associated with the surgery remain unresolved. I’m being told it is common post any major surgery and it will take time. Unfortunately, it gives a new meaning to plug and play. Thanks for asking.
This is the setup I have in my truck bed, The centerpiece is Mabett’s sliding/pivoting bed divider. The net does well for securing loose small items such as from a grocery run. I modified the bed divider so I can slide and lock it anywhere along the length of the side rails without requiring...
Finished my first PT session. Still carrying extra plumbing. Hopefully, I’ll lose that tomorrow. I’m able to get in and out of bed and the car unaided. Walking with minimal discomfort with walker. Better than before the surgery.
Surgery was Tuesday AM. They had me walking the hallway with the aid of a walker within three hours. No pain whatsoever. Then the swelling kicked in and the surgical prep meds wore off. Now, the biggest decision is the time that has passed and whether to go with the Oxy or an 8000 mg...
