I recently completed a mod for my truck bed making use of products offered by two of MTCās sponsors, Mabett and Maxzina. I installed Mabettās sliding bed divider some time ago. Since my Maverick did not come with the OEM cargo bed side rails, I ordered Mabetts bed divider and side rail...
I understand and appreciate your comments. For loads that donāt reach above the truck side walls, I rely upon my sliding Mabett bed divider and the horizontal cargo net I mentioned previously. I agree about being able to secure a strap at the lower level of the bed. I also see where, if at...
I just received my pair of retractable truck bed tie downs recently introduced by Maxzina. As designed, the tie downs are intended to be mounted in a fixed position ot the upper corners at the foot of the bed. For small loads I make use of an elastic mesh net that I can drape over my load and...
There are four wires going out from the under the hood control box for the interior switch panel. There is the large black common ground attached to an appropriate point of bare metal. There is the large red 12V power source that passes through an independent firewall mounted circuit breaker...
I drew power for my six gang switch panelās control box from the terminal under the flip back black cover. Iām running Mabettās roof-mounted light bar, a set of LED ditch lights, under the hood LED work lights, a 12ā LED light bar as a fog lamp, Raptor-like grill lights, and a 50ā LED strip as...
I donāt know. I originally purchased it to go into my first truck a new 1976 Toyota long bed pkup. I have used it in several other trucks over the years. It was designed to hold two long arms, but that was too tall for the Maverickās back window. I cut it down so it will only hold one item...
I too like my light bar. I did run into a problem after I had installed the unit and my windshield required replacing. It took me the third try to find a tech who would do the job. Two others walked away because the overhang of the light bar kept them from approaching the windshield at a 90...
Just in the last few days, I posted the below to a number of FB site. It had been posted to the MTC years ago when I first applied the mod to myā22 hybrid XLT.
I was thinking I would throw out one of my quick and easy mods for your consideration. I like that the Maverick has many nooks and...
Recently, I installed Mabettās roof light bar. Shortly after installing the light bar, my windshield took a rock and cracked requiring replacement. Upon their inspection, the first nationally recognized windshield repair firm I called rejected the job. They stated that with the light bar...
Correct, there is a hidden seam on top of the dash for the airbag to exit. As it deploys it extends to the front of the vehicle up against the windshield and into the front passenger's space, including downward to block the dash/glovebox area.
I agree. I understand Maxzina hopes to introduce retractable tie down straps for the Maverick soon. Sight unseen, I have an idea of how I will be able to mount a pair to my side rails and slide and lock them anywhere along the length of the rail. If successful, Iāll post how I accomplished...
While your product is designed to make use of the Maverickās OEM bolt hole anchor points, that does not mean there is no drilling. Those with a factory DIBL will have to drill holes in the liner corresponding to the bolt hole locations on the truck bed sides.
I had to add rails to my ā24 XLT when I installed Mabettās bed divider. Unfortunately, Ford provided a DIBL, with the luxury option with no means to substitute a SIBL. That earned more than a few four letter words addressed to Ford from me. Installation of the rails required that I dismantle...
