I did notice that if you choose hybrid, awd is a $2,220 option. However, if you choose ecoboost at same base price, the awd "option" (option in quote since its required) is only $1,020. Therefore, with awd, hybrid cost s $1,200 more than ecoboost (I just checked on their build site right now).

Agreed. I just changed my insurance today from a '15 Prius V to a '25 hybrid AWD Maverick. With the same coverage, the premium increased $63 for the year. Fortunately, my area is fairly inexpensive as we only pay about $1400 a year for the Mav and our Sienna.

if coasting down the hill, is your high voltage battery full? In my prius, when the battery is full, it will aggressively engine brake down hills to avoid damaging the battery.
