According to Real Truck, the TS rails no longer worth with any hard folding covers due to interference issues. But, I'm going to move forwards with the X4ts since they offered a nice deal on it and I don't have to deal with (or really worry about since I worry too much in my life) any potential...
Cold weather can suck the fuel economy out of hybrids. I find in my Prius (that I'll hopefully be trading in this week for a hybrid Mav), I can get significant gains by selectively using the heater, or should I say minimize it's use at speeds where electric is likely to kick in, since heat will...
I should have researched this sooner, as my new Maverick is arriving this coming week. But, I'm wondering if any hard folding tonneau covers work with the TS rails. The newest compatibility guide only lists a select few roll-up or retracting covers. They used to list some hard folding covers...
Im curious of materials. Are the cooling lines a quality stainless, or closer to mild steel. I live in rust country, so worry about these things (half the issues on my prius have been the result of rust, even with car washes)
Can anyone confirm this about the e-cvt? The brochure specifically mentions the battery not included in esp, but made no mention of the e-cvt.
@Granger Ford ?
I agree with 1Guy1Truck. If it's normal for the Mav, then the software engineers need to work harder on tuning the system. My Prius v that I'll be trading in for Mav has never done this in over 6 years of ownership, including to temperatures as cold as -15F. But, at least I'll know if the Mav...
That reminds me of many years ago when i was young and dumb. I bought a classic Mustang off a co-worker's brother who owned a mechanic/body shop. Flew from NY to Kansas to drive it back. Pulling into a McDonald parking spot, which took longer than expected because the car had a rather larger...
Original message. Person said his fuel economy was low after a week because " I believe .... the gas engine running throughout the trip home to recharge both the Hybrid and 12V battery given that it was parked for a week.'
Again that makes sense draining the 12v battery, but I'm surprised that drains the traction battery. Does the system really drain the traction battery that much when the car is off?
I could see that draining the 12v battery, but not the traction battery.
Anyway, I hope for the best when I finally get my Maverick (just went into production). I'll have to keep some of these things in mind, especially since my conditions are challenging being2 miles from work, so frequent...
Why would the hybrid battery drain that much in just a week though? That doesn't seem quite right. I know with my Prius I've parked if for over a week and have never noticed any appreciable drain on the traction battery.
I feel that no window sticker yet makes sense because there are no official EPA fuel economy estimates for the '25. When I go to fueleconomy.gov, the '25 is not listed yet. My guess is the window stickers will be available as soon as the official EPA numbers are solidified.
I'm wondering if they'll stay "In Production", at least for the hybrids, until the EPA certification comes through and Ford can print the window sticker.
I hope Ford's fix ... well, fixes this. In winter time when it gets too cold for me to tolerate riding my bike to work (15F and below), I can make a lot of short trips into work and home (only 2 miles each way). My current car, a Prius v, is still on the battery it came with 6.5 years ago. At...
Oh boy ... this makes me think of my current Prius v, but it's a bit different:
Regular mode the engine says, "oh, you want to go someplace? OK, I'll get you there within a few days or so"
ECO mode the engine says, "You want to go someplace? Yeah, that'll take at least a week"
PWR mode the...
