Maybe the lack of communication comes from dealerships being used to selling cars off the lot…versus ordering and managing customers expectations until the vehicle is received. The dealership I’m using is no different and as a result, my purchasing experience is not satisfactory.
The gas and oil remaining from ignition are recycled back into the intake manifold instead of going into the crankcase. PCV still does what it does, it’s just the new mixture is just that less optimum…and overtime fouls intake valves and diminishes the intercooler capability…..leading to big...
All good points…..but here is the real killer on fords esp plan…..it covers everything from defects and wear and tear, but excludes any oil or fluid contamination, and that’s why Buschers catch can is a must for those whom plan to keep your Mav for a long time. Don’t believe me? Go to flood...
Wild regarding the amount of fluid in the can; did you check if the engine oil levels dropped? I’m told changing the oil every 3k takes care of the fluid problems yet your report tells another story…..
Damn……Expecting March 7th and just checked and the date is out and final prep is added…..so more waiting….I’m happy to have my Mav build in process….while chewing on the calendar…..
Just hate getting any run around and your situation is a great example of why someone would be angry…..I think part of the problem is Ford makes and dealers sell…..and most sales focus on getting the sale, not following up on questions that cannot be easily answered….not true for all sales, but...
I think Ford redesigned the 2.0 in 2016. A big problem is water getting into the cylinders…..haven’t heard of Ford doing any modifications…strong reason to get floodesp.com extended warranty (best I have found).
I have the same build (with Lux and engine block heater), ordered mine August 16th. So far, received emails of confirmation, build and shipped, mid-March delivery. I’ll let you know when I get it…..Regarding the phone call, your calling the sales manager puts the dealership on notice of the...
Thanks for your review….one of the main reasons I’m going with the Maverick is that it has a steel bumper that goes across the entire front covering both the driver and passenger sides; safe travels to all.
Don’t know enough to help other than if the install was done right, take the lift kit off cause you are right, just can’t unsee it…sorry for your aggravation.
Yeah buddy! Got my email this week as well. Delivery date March 7th to the 13th. Order on August 16th. Hoping the delivery process doesn’t get messed up. Getting my Maverick built the way I wanted helped waiting and trust others will see it this way also….truth is, waiting sucks……
