BACKUP CAMERA ISSUE…when I do get my Mav (when?), I’m going to try gluing one of my wife’s false fingernail just above the camera. If anyone does try this, please let us know how it works out. First thought on backup lights is putting a brighter bulb in the tail light assembly. Best to all.
Wow, MTC platform and reviews (especially this one) is massively informative. REGARDING DIFFERENT TIRE SIZES - when ordering, I asked the dealership about the spare tire and was told it probably would NOT be the exact same size as the others; when I noted awd systems should have the same tire...
The 2.0 eco, because it does not have an exhaust manifold, is known to build up carbon in #4 cylinder (?) so running 93 helps for cleaner burning. Does running one octane vs the other in the long-run make a difference? Don’t know….my Ford mechanic says 93 can’t hurt…….pay your monies and take...
I’ve ordered the XLT with installed rails……but think having more than one sliding cleat per side would give a lot more versatility. Does anyone know if additional cleats can be added?
As much as I am impatient for my CG XLT 2.0 w/ everything but FX4, waiting for a quality build versus a build of poor workmanship because of the rush for cash makes the wait easier……
I'm not concerned. When researching the 2.0L in 2016, I brought these issues to the local Ford mechanic whom gave the advice of 3K oil changes, 91 fuel and go light on the gas when towing. Also, the price difference with other mfgs I was looking out, along with not taking the extended warranty...
The three negative issues with the 2.0L (cracked exhaust, pvc failure and carbon buildup) are the the price of this engine (note, I found out my extended warranty excludes these). Tow package addresses keeping temps down, using 91 octane will help engine running cleaner and changing oil every...
AWD because of snow / ice and thought the heavy duty radiator and trans cooler, even if not towing, was a goood idea. Wanted hybrid with awd, but no go for now……
