  1. having second thoughts

You hit the jackpot :) , very unlikely to find MSRP on a customer canceled order IMO.
  2. having second thoughts

I think not, dealer keeps the order and sells at a markup when it's built/delivered. Doesn't help anybody "patiently" waiting "in line".
  3. Ford sends out (blanket spam) email -- "An Important Update About Your Order"

It's already been posted here, but the earthquake in Japan caused a shutdown of a company that makes automotive chips. Some reporting says they are the largest manufacturer in the world supplying 1/3 of the chips needed for the industry. Coincidence? Ford Chip Supplier Renesas Suspends...
  4. Ford Chip Supplier Renesas Suspends Operations After Earthquake

Probably the latest world event leading to Ford's mass delay email sent out last night.
  5. Flaw in Fords allocation system?

I'd say a major flaw for this customer is a dealership with 65-80 Maverick orders and apparently very few allocations. I'm stuck in the same boat, tiny dealership locally and I have yet to see one Maverick on the road anywhere.
  6. Can't Believe What My Dealer Told Me Today ... My Wait Could be 4-6 Months

Retain their "place in line". I wouldn't take that advice to the track. It certainly hasn't meant much to those who have been waiting for 8 or 9 months now.
  7. March Maverick Production - 5,400 Units

I believe Tim Bartz said something about the new order for 23 would have a different priority number that designates it as a carry over from 22. But, with Ford's allocation system and whatever constraints there might be in 7 months when they start production, it's not like your truck is...
  8. Ford will sell & deliver Mavericks without chips controlling non-safety critical features

There is hope for you fans of that feature. At least they offered it to F-150 customers. Worth a cool 50 bucks. Looks like many other manufacturers have already made the plunge. Ford to ship and sell Explorer SUVs with missing chips (msn.com)
  9. Ford will sell & deliver Mavericks without chips controlling non-safety critical features

Yeah, I get that, but what a logistical nightmare. I'm sure there's a shortage of qualified mechanics just like everything else now.
  10. Ford will sell & deliver Mavericks without chips controlling non-safety critical features

I'm sure all the service departments are going to love this.
  11. Ford will sell & deliver Mavericks without chips controlling non-safety critical features

Good point. That might open up a big mess with warranty issues.
  12. Ford will sell & deliver Mavericks without chips controlling non-safety critical features

Wow, knowingly driving away from the lot with an incomplete brand new vehicle. Ford is desperate. I think the supply issues are getting worse, not better. Report: Ford to sell cars without some non-safety related chips, install them later (clickondetroit.com)
  13. March Maverick Production - 5,400 Units

    I think 23 orders start 8/16.
  14. We all know it’s bad but this is concerning

Hard to believe anything in this environment. Local Toyota dealership estimated 2-4 months for a RAV4 Hybrid, the more basic the order, the faster it would arrive.
  15. We all know it’s bad but this is concerning

Apparently it pops up on their tracker as well, which is meant for current orders. So, I'm not so sure it's for future orders as much as another acknowledgement that 22s are getting pushed to 23s unless you strip down your build, especially constrained items.
  16. March Maverick Production - 5,400 Units

I don't think Ford planned for the continued and worsening supply issues. They are begging people to drop constrained items to get these trucks built. Their declining production so far this year is not a good sign for those of us still waiting. I have no hard evidence, but I don't see things...
  17. March Maverick Production - 5,400 Units

You will have to sit down with your dealer, go over any changes and basically reorder your truck for 23. You will still be at the mercy of Ford's allocation system and IMO not necessarily be prioritized any differently than any other 23 order.
