  1. Expectations Met? A 4-Season, 29K Mile, 1-Year Maverick Hybrid Owner's Review (40.8 mpg)

I saw that 2023 window sticker, and I was flummoxed! What you’re saying about tweaking the regenerative braking makes a lot of sense. Yes, I’m sure she will also be fine with the 40 mpg. I don’t experience that jerkiness of the brakes very often, so I’ll stick with my 42 mpg ā€˜22 lariat...
  2. Expectations Met? A 4-Season, 29K Mile, 1-Year Maverick Hybrid Owner's Review (40.8 mpg)

Thank you, glad you enjoyed the post. I completely agree on the sale of the big truck for this one. I had to fold in the mirrors in on the F150 (we sold it too) to shoehorn it into the single garage opening. My sister-in-law just picked up a ā€˜23 EB fwd while she waits for an XLT hybrid. What...
  3. Expectations Met? A 4-Season, 29K Mile, 1-Year Maverick Hybrid Owner's Review (40.8 mpg)

@UpNorthBuckeye @jsus is correct. They are the Primacy A/S 225/60 R 18, but I will also add the speed rating spec, 100H. Thank you for the compliment on the review!
  4. Expectations Met? A 4-Season, 29K Mile, 1-Year Maverick Hybrid Owner's Review (40.8 mpg)

Michelins...our Lariat Hybrid came standard with 18" Michelin tires. We usually get at least 50,000 miles from Michelin truck tires.
  5. Expectations Met? A 4-Season, 29K Mile, 1-Year Maverick Hybrid Owner's Review (40.8 mpg)

I've driven our 2022 Maverick Hybrid Lariat for one full year now! 'RICKY' and I have been through the entire four seasons of Michigan. Temps here reached 0 F in December, and the upper 90's F in July, so Ricky has experienced the full gamut of temps and weather! Never got stuck in the snow...
  6. Review: Super-Budget Tri-Fold TipTop Tonneau on a 2023 Atlas Blue XL

Glad to help! I was considering the modular Ford drop-in, purchased with my wife's retiree discount, but stuff slides around a lot with drop-ins. I like the added grip of our factory spray-in on our hybrid lariat. I was encouraging my sister-in-law to go with a bed mat, but I couldn't find...
  7. Review: Super-Budget Tri-Fold TipTop Tonneau on a 2023 Atlas Blue XL

Yes, and this tri-fold also includes a length of weather stripping for optionally sealing those vertical tailgate seams!
  8. Review: Super-Budget Tri-Fold TipTop Tonneau on a 2023 Atlas Blue XL

Yes, Tri-fold for sure. Here's the link. Remember to check the box for the 19% coupon. Note the options for the Tri-fold, Hard Folding, and Roll-up...
  9. Review: Super-Budget Tri-Fold TipTop Tonneau on a 2023 Atlas Blue XL

The seals on the front and the back are multi rubber blade, sweep style like the bottom sweep on an entry door to a house. Same style on our factory Ford tri-fold. It looks like the TipTop is tight enough on the front edge near the rear window. The force/pressure required to seal the sweep on...
  10. Review: Super-Budget Tri-Fold TipTop Tonneau on a 2023 Atlas Blue XL

Here's a TipTop brand tri-fold tonneau on my sister-in-law's new 2023 Mav! This is our second Maverick, delivered yesterday. The longest delay was the 15 days parked at the final rail freight destination, Wayne MI, right before it was delivered to the dealer, 30 minutes from Wayne. It's a...
  11. Why Buy a Maverick?

I also fondly remember that 4-speed manual trans Courier. My dad got an extra vehicle on the executive lease plan and it was $75/month. Brown paint, brown vinyl bench seat, easy clutch for me to learn as a teen, fun, and efficient! Very fond memories.
  12. 1 year, 21,931 mile, 40.9 MPG Hybrid Maverick Owner's Review

Thanks for the review! I noticed your trip odometer has 19 k (my lariat trip OD also shows only 4 digits of miles) on it for the 40.9 average. Seems like you shorted about 3k miles of winter driving here in Michigan. Cold-weather really clobbers the fuel economy. We picked up ours January 18...
  13. Observed MPG reduction in cold weather.

I made a crude analysis of the temp on FE, and I averaged the to/from trips. I found the trips were lower in one direction and higher in the other. Windy conditions will certainly also add load...
  14. 2023 Maverick Hybrid Window Sticker Shows Lower MPG Than 2022 Model (city mileage went from 42 to 40 MPG)

I would’ve expected the 2023 sticker to be better than 2022. After eleven months (26,500 miles) of tracking with the trip odometer, I’m averaging 41.2 mpg, with about a 50/50 city/hwy mix…and probably a little more hwy than city. For the naysayers who refute the onboard MPG accuracy, I’ve...
  15. 2023 Maverick Price ROLLBACK !

Yes, this 2023 EB FWD ($0 for the EB) build is very close to the price of a 2022 EB FWD ($1095 for the EB) ordered in June 2021.
  16. Lariat trim, worth it?

Yes, Ford seems to have a history of skimping on their audio systems.
  17. Lariat trim, worth it?

I’m sure Harman (now owned by Samsung) would like your feedback. They own and produce the B&O car audio systems, in addition to the HarmanKardon car audio systems
  18. Lariat trim, worth it?

23,500 miles into my Hybrid Lariat Lux experience, I would not change it. My top must-haves / appreciate-having: Lane Centering (with ACC is like mild self-driving) ACC Heated wheel and seats Proximity entry w/Push button start B & O upgraded audio (I agree about the bass though, and I turn...
  19. šŸ™‹šŸ»‍ā™‚ļø Post if you received your 2023 Maverick scheduled for production confirmation & VIN today Oct 28!

I’m stunned and stoked! I placed my 2023 XL 2.0 EB FWD order minutes before my dealer’s close-of-business on the last day of orders for the 2023 EB on 9/21/2022. Priority code 19. Moments ago, I received my production confirmation email ! My order was last in, but first out! Is anyone else...
